It's still hard to believe you're gone.
What really stands out to me isn't just the music it's the impact you had on people. The amount of love, respect, and genuine grief I've seen across the internet these past few weeks is something I've honestly never witnessed for an artist who wasn't a traditional household name like Michael Jackson or Whitney Houston.
That says a lot.
You seemed like one of those rare people who was friends with everybody, cared about everybody, and left every room a little brighter than he found it.
Your music and your creativity even made their way into some of my earliest videos. I used your songs in some of my first shorts, and I still remember using your giant-headphones cutout from the "Don't Let Me Down" video 🎧 in one of my very first intros, telling people to grab their headphones for the best experience!
You inspired people to be weird, authentic, creative, and unapologetically themselves. One of the main pillars of my channel is authenticity, being YOURSELF and never being embarrassed by that, no matter how "weird" you think you are.
The world needs more souls like that.

💔 My heart is so heavy tonight. It’s hard to put into words what you mean to me. There’s a special bond between you and your animal children. You are their parent, their best friend and their protector. And in turn, they provide a type of unconditional love that only they can give.
This wasn’t the first loss, but boy, it feels like one of the most painful yet.
Cali, my sweet girl, Daddy loves you more than I can express. I truly cherished every single second we got to spend together over these last 12 years… especially the last couple of weeks, knowing this day was likely coming.
You are one of the most special souls I’ve ever known. I truly feel blessed to have had you and your sister Mookie in our lives. My heart actually hurts 😢. I'm going to miss my editing partner dearly 💔.
But I know you’re with your sister now, waiting for us. I know you’re chasing butterflies and birds, hanging out with your squirrel friends. But I also know you’ll always be with us.
The last words I was able to say to you still ring true… always loved and never alone. 💔
I love you, my sweet girl. Dada will see you soon enough. 🙏 Look out for us with your sister while you’re over there, would ya?
