Welcome to BirdDen 4x4 Ambulance Overland!

We’re Dennis, Kristin, and our adventurous dog Ed, a trio of explorers from Vancouver Island with a passion for off-grid living and the open road. After years in construction management and healthcare, we decided it was time to embrace a new chapter. We converted a 2001 E-350 Ford van, a retired ambulance, into a 4x4 RV designed for ultimate freedom and exploration.

Our mission? To spend the next 4-5 years traveling at least 8 months each year, uncovering the hidden gems of North, Central, and South America. From rugged backcountry to sun-soaked beaches, and snowy ski hills, our trusty rig is built to take us anywhere our hearts desire.

We’ve already journeyed to the Arctic Ocean through British Columbia, the Yukon, and Alaska, and explored the stunning landscapes of Baja Mexico. But we’re just getting started. Our goal is to chart a course through every corner of North America before venturing further into Central and South America.
