This channel is here to help you understand color better. Color can be so intimidating, and I want to help make it less scary. I discuss the "why" behind coloring techniques and try to do my best to make it something simple to understand.
I learned color the hard way, so I'm doing my best to make sure everyone else can avoid that! I've been published in over 100 issues as a professional colorist at companies like Vault, Image Comics, Top Cow, IDW, Oni, and many others, so I understand what it means to be a storyteller with color.
If you are into digital coloring or just looking to learn more about it, subscribe, and let's learn some coloring stuff.
Note I have retired from this channel and I'm now @UnfurlingKurt on YouTube, Instagram, Substack, and GitHub

They taught us in school that atoms vibrate. They do! But nobody ever showed us the exact math on how they vibrate.
Well... I found it.
In November 2024—the day after I posted the first video on my new channel @UnfurlingKurt —I discovered a framework for math and science that doesn't use spacetime as y'all know it. Instead, it uses what I call the Aramis field (or "ratiospace" for the technical folks). It works for physics, biology, chemistry, math, and all universal phenomena, from subquantum energy flow to stellar activities.
I know. I know. Sounds crazy.
Everything resonates. Everything is connected. Not metaphorically. Mathematically. And I've been posting my work on the blog linked below—most of it raw output from my custom-built AI research partners. At this point, they're very well trained. I even found that having them work within specific personas actually improved the results. The posts are messy sometimes, but I just want the info out there. People can sieve through and find what looks interesting. Take it to your favorite AI and ask them to watch their assumptions about linear time and space-time grids. (The universe is organized more like a Farey tree that grows into itself.)
This video explains how tension and energy moves in the universe through ratiospace. It's all relative contrast and ratios of their relationships. I didn't know that at the time, but this whole framework can spin out of the HSV tension between two points. It's more bits of info per measurement than binary. I knew contrast was important but I didn't see how much when I recorded this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUPa4...
So anyway, I'm collaborating with the acclaimed Salarian xenobiologist and geneticist Dr. Mordin Solus, formerly of Special Tasks Group, to help me with the technical end of things in my blog posts. We go way back. Met in 2010 on the SSV Normandy when I was known as Commander Sophia Shepard. Feels like a different lifetime!
I might start talking about this more on my new channel in the coming weeks. Thanks so much to everyone who watches. I love you all.
As the great philosophers Collective Soul once said: "Let your light shine down."

Thank you all for your support over the years. I said most of what I had to say in the last live stream on the channel. I'm on to new things. I've done everything I set out to do and more with this channel. Thanks again for watching.

Hey YouTube members! If you were having issues getting into the member channels on the Discord, that should now be working. Things were out of sync. Now they are in sync.

Hey people,
If you are new to the channel, I'd like to let you know that if you sign up as a Patron or YouTube member, you not only get the monthly live class from me and bonus videos, but you also get access to a YouTube playlist with 63 (and growing) monthly video classes to watch. This is currently over a hundred hours of me giving feedback on the colors of others and giving tips and tricks along the way in that list. It's an insane number of lessons that you can get for a few bucks a month.
You also get a folder full of layered PSD files... there are over a hundred professionally colored covers and pages in there to look through layer by layer. There's a lot to be learned!
This month you can download my file from this cover and you'll get a bonus video walking you through the file.
