Problem : If
Cos + Sin= root 2 Cos then Cos – Sin = root 2 Sin
Third method:
(C + S)² = (root 2 C)²
C² + S² + 2 C S = 2 C²
1 + 2 C S = 2 (1 – S²)
1 + 2 C S = 2 – 2 S²
2 S² = 2 – 1 – 2 C S
2 S² = 1 – 2 C S
2 S² = C² + S² – 2 C S
2 S² = (C – S)²
Root 2 S = C – S
Here C = Cos , S = Sin
