Soft Loft is a Switzerland-based collective fronted by singer/lyricist Jorina Stamm. They’re an insider's tip, at home in the scene, but you also wouldn’t be surprised if one day they opened for Taylor Swift. They create music that cracks your shell wide open, reframes the broken and ugly, and makes you fall head over heels in love with being fallible and human. From day one, their mission has been to create a space where vulnerability is like oxygen and connecting with another is summer breeze. Their sound is a sticky mixture of ecstasy and melancholy, which they refer to as “Indie-something-something”. They feel at home playing in the shoebox-type club piled with a sweaty, screaming bunch, just as they do on big stages before a thrashing ocean of people.

we‘re sharing new music with you today and this one feels quite special as it has been a favorite for all of us for quite some time now. writing and recording this together has felt so easy and we hope it‘s making you feel at ease while listening to it<3
lyrically "can" is taking you on an imaginary date wanting to really open up and finally let your walls down. if I‘m being honest letting people in has always been difficult, it‘s a lot of trust and a lot of fear of loss. and explaining that you can‘t always push through those walls has been tough. but i try!
maybe you needed a reminder to try as well 🫂

when everything started a couple of months ago and we were playing first international shows we made a pit stop in röhrsdorf at castle studios to record six kind of snapshots of life and music that we wanna do.
"leave the light on" is the first of six that we wanna share with you and it kind of builds the bridge from our debut album to modern roses 🌹
it‘s about leaving water in the kettle to never stop boiling, light in the hallway that never goes out and all the little things a person leaves behind when they leave. (it‘s also a little reminder that when you‘re in heartbreak, we got you, always haha)
so you all leave the light on a little longer we‘ll be back with modern roses on 25th of april 🪻
