Hey everyone! Some of you may have already heard the news, but if you haven't: EA is being sold for $55 billion to private investors. This is so disappointing and concerning for a number of reasons. They are being acquired by the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia (PIF), Silver Lake, and Affinity Partners, of which Jared Kushner (Donald Trump's son-in-law) is CEO. PIF has been investing in EA and other gaming giants for a while now, but this take private offer means this group of investors will own 100% of the company. This is unprecedented. EA being entirely owned by this conservative group has me worried about future inclusivity and representation in the game, and I hope nothing changes in that regard. I think it's more likely that The Sims franchise would feel the effects of the cost cutting that could occur. I fear this could mean even more microtransactions down the line, or budget cuts and layoffs for the team working on the game. It's also possible that generative AI could be used as a cost cutting measure, which would be really, really disappointing. Kayla/lilsimsie just posted a video about this, and she did a great job explaining why many of us are concerned, so I'm linking it here.

The deal hasn't gone through yet, and there's a lot that could happen until mid 2026 when it is expected to be finalized. I hate to immediately go to worst case scenarios, but I'd be lying if I said this hasn't given me a lot to think about. I don't know exactly what to say right now, especially because nothing has actually happened yet and we don't know what effects this would actually have. I just wanted to let you know that I share in these concerns over what this means for The Sims, EA, and the gaming industry as a whole.

Hi everyone! I'm here to plug our charity streams over on Twitch this weekend! We've been fundraising for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital this month, and this weekend will be our big finale streams! Tonight, we'll be playing the 1000 Baby Challenge (not a typo 😅) at 5pm ET! Tomorrow at 12pm ET, I'll be learning how to make balloon animals on stream, and Saturday at 10am ET I'm leaving my game unpaused all day but with Crowd Control activated!! (so your donations can control the game)

St. Jude is an amazing place that not only treats children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses, but researches cures and treatments and shares their findings with the world. What is so incredible about St. Jude is that families will never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing, or food. St. Jude has helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate in the U.S. from 20% in 1962 to more than 80% today. It is such an honor to be able to use my platform to fundraise for them every year and I hope you'll join us over on Twitch! ANNOUNCEMENT!

Happy new year everyone! I am soooo so excited to share I finally have some more YouTube livestreams planned. These will be co-streams/multistreams with Twitch, which means I'll be live on both platforms at the same time, and you can choose where you'd like to watch! I know a lot of people either don't use or don't like Twitch, so I've been wanting to test this out for a while. We will start with Saturdays in January and see how it goes from there! I plan to be live every Saturday at 9 AM PT/12 PM ET/5 PM GMT with some Sims building, but if I ever change the time or stream plan I'll announce that in our Discord server! I hope to see you at one of the streams! The first one will be this Saturday, January 4th :D

You can tell by the hyphens and underscores in this username and the way it specifically mentions Telegram that it is not authentic. I do not have Telegram and would never ask you to message me there! Always be looking out for things like this. If it seems fishy, it probably is.

TOMORROW at 10 AM EDT I will be streaming Rags to Riches LIVE over on my Twitch channel BUT the stream will not end until we *actually* get to 1 million simoleons!

I would only take on this challenge for a good reason, of course! We'll be fundraising for St. Jude and you'll be able to use your donations to directly interact with my game through Crowd Control!
