Hi all,

A quick update on what's coming soon on the channel:

1. The 120 Minutes Archive has received dozens of additional 120 Minutes playlists in the year or so since I first started publishing my 120 Minutes videos, so I will be rolling out updated 1990s 120 Minutes videos in the coming weeks.

2. I will also continue to publish 120 Minutes/Subterranean videos for the 2000s, though they will likely come at a slower pace as they have been less popular than my other videos so far.

3. A new 1990s series that will be especially appealing to anyone who is interested in discovery or is an obsessive who needs to track EVERY song that was released no matter how small a hit it was. This is being done in conjunction with some exciting new plans I will announce in the near-future.

4. Additional one-off videos. Up next: WHFS's top 499 of the 90s.

Hi everyone, sorry this channel has been dormant for a while. I'm working on some new content that I plan to post next month.

In the meantime, I want to say how pleasantly surprised I've been by the engagement and decorum on my videos. I've received so many comments from people sharing memories about '90s alt rock, or about how they discovered (or re-discovered) songs through my videos, which is exactly why I started the channel!

However, I do get the occasional unhelpful comment, and I've seen enough of them to break them down into the following categories. I thought you might enjoy this — all in good fun!

8. The Professor – “Pearl Jam stopped making music videos after Ten.”

9. The Drifter – Uses the comment section to push a tangentially related agenda.

10. ‘Why Didn’t You Include…?’ / ‘Where’s…’ Guy – "Where's [song that's not on the list]?"

11. Methodology Denier – “List X is better.”

12. Conspiracy Guy – "This was the beginning of the end for alternative rock, and it’s all because…"

13. Backseat Collaborator – "I don’t want to make my own videos, but I’ll tell you how yours should be better."

14. Over-sharer – Shares anecdotes that would be best saved for therapy.

15. The Comment Resurrector – Responds to a weeks- or months-old comment.

16. ‘My Memory Is Better’ Guy – "Your list doesn’t match my memory, so it’s wrong."

17. Arbitrary Rules Enforcer – “‘Lovesong’ by The Cure went to #2 on the Hot 100, so it can’t be alternative.”

If you missed it: I recently put together the Top 100 songs of the entire Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart for the 1990s — using every song’s total chart performance across the decade.

A few fun facts if you're into the data side of things:

-- The late ’90s completely dominate the Top 20, and it’s not random
-- The 1996 Telecommunications Act reshaped radio playlists nationwide
-- That shift changed which songs charted, how long they stayed, and ultimately what made the Top 100
