Hi! I'm Trish, and I share what a normal everyday life looks like as a 60-something wife, mom, aging witch, and a part time artist with a full time muggle job and a busy work schedule. No cottage core here. Just a real person navigating life's ups and downs, and finding the magic that is all around us, even in the most mundane of places. Whether I'm foraging in my summer garden, cooking up something magical in my kitchen, or creating art in my tiny studio, I try to be as authentic as possible.
I focus on mental and physical wellness, self care, spirituality, art, aging, gardening, cooking, and simply living this hard, messy, crazy, magical journey that is life.

Hello Friends! I wanted to share my incantation and effigy for this years #witchesblacklent

My poem of PRIDE for the #witchesblacklent
Come out, come out
I know you're there
Why do you need to hide
The feeling from doing something well
That you just keep inside
It is said that its a sin
To show that I am proud
But in small doses its okay
So come out, it is allowed
The light was cast from heaven
Sent to the pit of hell
I have read the holy book
I know the story well
An angel who had fallen
Because he had a sense of pride
His light to never shine again
No matter how he tried
We are told that it is wrong
To let our own light beam
We should be humble, small, and quiet
If we are to be redeemed
But self esteem is having pride
In the human we've become
The feeling of accomplishment
When a jobs well done
So sing it from the rooftops
The song you have inside
Sing it loud, this melody
This deadly sin called PRIDE

This year I chose to work with the deadly sin, PRIDE, for the #witchesblacklent
I chose to write a poem for my incantation and to make a paper poppet for an effigy this year as part of the project. I will share more about my experience on Wednesday when we celebrate the Feast of Fiends live at 6pmCST on ‪@jasmyneambrosia‬ 's channel. Join us! It will be fun.
