Newcastle International Airport EGNT/NCL *News*
The last Lufthansa Cityline CRJ-900 flight was flown on the 12th of April 2026, operated by D-ACNL.
The airline will now utilise its mainline fleet on the FRA-NCL route with a mix of Airbus A319/20/21s until Lufthansa City begin accepting deliveries of their Airbus A220S at the end of the year, at which point we should hopefully see them in 2027.
Sad to see the Bombardier CRJs will no longer be visiting the North East.

I can't believe that we finally have an A350 visit Newcastle International Airport today. I've been waiting for this day from the moment the program was launched and finally it is here 😁
Loads of opportunities to see it at Newcastle over the next 2 weeks.
