We are Kevin and Lareka and welcome to RetiredRoadTripping!! We are empty nesters, sold our Arizona home in 2022 and moved into a rental for a year while preparing for retirement and transitioning into Full-Time RV Life!
In May 2023, Kevin retired after 30 years in Law Enforcement and we hit the road in our 2022 Vanleigh Beacon 42RKB 5th Wheel and haven't looked back yet!!
Our YouTube channel originally started as a way to document our journey for family and friends. We love the RV community and everything it has to offer and are humbled by the fact that our little channel is growing.
We know we're blessed to live this life of travel adventures and we don't want to take this amazing country for granted.

As we head into Thanksgiving week, we wanted to take a moment to slow down and share something from the heart. ❤️
There won’t be a new video from us this week. Instead of being behind the camera or in front of the computer editing, we’re choosing to spend this time being fully present — enjoying the warmth of family, catching up with friends, and reflecting on everything we’re grateful for this year.
The RV life gives us so many incredible experiences, but it’s moments like these — gathering around a table, sharing stories, laughing, reconnecting — that remind us what truly matters. Thanksgiving is a beautiful pause button, and we’re embracing it.
We hope you’re able to step back from the busyness too — to enjoy good food, meaningful conversations, and those small moments that end up meaning the most. Whether you’re traveling, hosting, or just taking it easy, we’re sending you all the good vibes for a peaceful and memorable holiday.

Today we’re celebrating 30 years of marriage. Hard to believe that a couple of teenagers could grow into two people who have logged this many miles together.
From raising a family to rolling into full-time RV life, we’ve learned that the road is a lot easier when you travel with someone who can laugh with you, problem-solve with you, and enjoy the quiet moments in between.
Thanks to all of you who follow our journey and share a little piece of the road with us. We’re grateful for this community and for every mile we’ve had together.

Join us as we wrap up our time in Northern California and Coastal Oregon with an unforgettable adventure!
We kicked off the day hiking the Trillium Falls Trail in Redwoods National Park. What started as a quick visit to the waterfall turned into a full 3-mile loop hike through lush, towering trees and peaceful forest trails—totally worth it!
Next, we headed up the Oregon coast to Bandon, OR, where we spent a beautiful afternoon exploring the rugged coastline, iconic sea stacks, and the Bandon Lighthouse with our good friends Mike and Charlene. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking!
Back in the Redwoods, we had a reality check on the Mill Creek Trail, where a massive tree had collapsed just moments before we arrived. The metal pathway was completely twisted and damaged—a powerful reminder that nature is wild and unpredictable.
To top off our time in the area, we had an incredible farewell dinner at Catalyst Seafood in Brookings Harbor. Their Surf & Turf was the perfect way to end our coastal adventures.
