It's been quite a while! I moved to Minneapolis from Tennessee and took some serious time off from doing videos. Well, I'm going to try to start things back up. I now work as a technology instructor at a well-known electronics recycler and thrift store, and I have been getting the urge to do things again.
Next up is a video about the Otrona Attache. It should be done soon! Also, we hit over 3k subscribers while I was gone. Thank you so much for that!
I miss talking to all of you. Time to get the ball rolling again!
I wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for supporting this little channel that could over the years. I am so grateful for each of you and I hope 2022 brings you all great happiness and success in all of your endeavors.
I just wanted to pop in and mention that my website and email services have been down for over a month. I wasn't able to get a straight answer from Dreamhost, but everything is fixed as of a few hours ago. If anyone has sent me an email since the end of October, I didn't receive it, so please re-send it to me now.
I hope your week was good and your weekend is even better. I just wanted to say hello and let everyone know that I've been away for a little while due to a change of medication that I'm getting used to. Nothing serious -- I'm just waiting for side effects to subside (which they almost have).
Also, I'm taking part in NaNoWriMo this month, which takes up a lot of free time!
I just want to preface this by saying that I don't know the YouTuber I'm going to write about personally. I'm just a fan of his channel. I saw a video the other day on Mark Fixes Stuff's channel and I wanted to share the news.
Mark's house caught on fire and he lost EVERYTHING. I've never spoken to him before, but I'm hoping to reach out and see if he needs anything at all. Someone set up a PayPal fund for him and I'll be donating to that as well. I'm going to put a link to his channel, his Patreon, and the PayPal fund so folks can help out. I have nothing to do with the fundraiser other than I'm donating to it. I just want to help out someone who has brought me a lot of joy through his YouTube content.
Thankfully, his family is safe, but he lost his entire retro collection, his cameras, his set, everything. If you like his videos and you wouldn't mind supporting him through this, I know it would mean the world to him.

How's everyone doing this evening? Well, I hope! I just wanted to let everyone know that I'll be uploading the channel's final yearly #SepTandy video sometime today. Also be sure to check out SepTandy videos from other creators! There's so much to check out over the next few months as we head toward the end of 2021! We've got some IBM action, more Apple / Mac videos, discussions, and a few oddities in between, so stay tuned!
Also, we're soooooo close to 2k subscribers and I really, really appreciate all of you.
A new thrift store hunting video just went up! Want to see your finds featured in an episode? Tweet photos to me @RetroTechToys and I'll do an entire video about YOUR FINDS! Make sure to tell me a little about them. You can also send video and photos to my e-mail RTT@RetroTechToys.com if you'd like!
You don't need to be a patron or a subscriber or any of that garbage. This channel is a very special community of retro tech lovers and I want to show off your passion in a video!
It's almost September, which means it's time for #Septandy! This is the month where quite a few retro creators feature Tandy machines and I definitely plan to participate this time around. I've got a few fun ideas ready to go in addition to my normal video schedule. :)
