NO CONSEQUENCES. NO CHANGES.
Americans see their public transit systems as dangerous, dirty, and inconvenient - because in most instances it is! It's horrific enough that this young woman was stabbed to death (let's not forget the one burned alive, the one shot, the other one shot...).
Our country has become a lawless, PvP zone, where there are no consequences for criminals (violent and white collar) and no changes in behavior. We effectively live with the worse aspects of a Cyberpunk dystopia, all the crime, corruption, and surveillance but an infrastructure system capped in the 1970s. You do have some freedom, I guess:
>Commute to work in a transit system that hasn't been updated since 1997
>Get stabbed
>Commute to work in a 15+ year old car on 50+ year old streets
>Tires get stabbed by pothole
Swift and severe justice needs to come, not just to the criminals roaming our streets, but more importantly to the ones in office and power who have allowed these freaks to roam free while projects like California's High Speed Rail continue with very obvious money laundering.

After a five hour battle, the Helldivers were able to suppress the dissidents of Super Cape Coral demanding that nothing be built in their backyard. This city has now been transformed into a beacon of liberating transit oriented development and prosperity for Super Earth's families! (the dissidents have been sent to the Super Villages for reeducation)
