It’s been a minute since my last update — and we just hit one year on YouTube! 🎉
That’s wild.
I seriously want to thank everyone who’s watched a video — whether you’ve been here since day one or just found the channel last week. And a huge thank you to everyone who subscribed. You’re the reason this keeps going.
The last few weeks have been heavy on Linux — we’ve basically spent the winter living in terminals and tearing into systems — and we’re not done yet. But don’t worry… the DIY projects are coming back into the mix soon. We’ll keep balancing both.
I’m still posting a Short every single day. Recently they’ve mostly been Linux-focused, and for some reason this past week they don’t seem to be getting pushed like usual. So if they’re not popping up in your feed, they’re still there on the channel. Hopefully it’s just a temporary hiccup and it sorts itself out soon.
Year two is just getting started — and we’re building bigger.
Thanks for being here. Let’s keep going. 🚀.

It’s been a couple weeks since I’ve posted here. We just did a Windows 11 upgrade video, and this week we opened what felt like a time capsule — a Commodore VIC-20. Going through everything in that box really took me back. Come check it out! https://youtu.be/U07feIY12k0

Quick channel update! I had to take a short break from the SGI project. The 50-pin SCSI drive I ordered was refunded with no explanation, so I grabbed a 68-pin to 50-pin converter and an old 4GB SCSI drive instead. I’ll be working on it this week, so watch for that video next week!
In the meantime, this week’s video walks through an oil change on a RAM 1500. Coming up Thursday, I’ll be upgrading a PC from Windows 10 to Windows 11 on unsupported hardware — and exploring a couple of alternative OS options too.
Thanks so much for watching and supporting the channel. If there’s something specific you’d like to see, drop a comment on any video — I read them all!
Many thanks,
TechnologyBob

It’s been a couple of weeks since my last post—my bad! We just hit 200 subs, so thank you, everyone! 🎉 We’re now at 218 videos (most of them shorts) and growing every day.
We’ve got several projects lined up. We’ll be finishing our marathon of computer content in a few weeks (though we’ll definitely circle back). On the horizon: fixing the boiler, a $24 oil change on a Ram 1500 (beats the $85 they charge around here), mounting our own tires, some smelting, and giving the skid steer a little TLC—just to name a few.
And yes, there will be more computer work! With Windows 10 support ending on 10/13/2025, we’ve got a few PCs that need Windows 11, but they don’t meet the requirements… so stay tuned!

"The truck project with Nick is almost DONE — the final episode dropped last week, and it was 🔥!"
Now we’re jumping into something new with a build that’s both functional and awesome — a custom bed extender for my short bed truck. Why? Because when you're staring down a stack of 16-foot boards, you can't just toss 'em in and hope for the best — you need a real solution.
This mod was built for the upcoming Boathouse Project (coming soon 👀), and it’s perfect for anyone trying to haul long material without upgrading to a flatbed.
Solid build. Clean lines. Problem solved.
If you’ve ever dealt with the short bed struggle or just love watching practical DIYs come together, this one’s for you. Hit play, drop a like, and stick around… we’re just getting started. 💪

Over the last 10 days since I posted we have been very busy! Our project truck we called "Old Rusty" (due to all the gifts it kept giving us the deeper we got) has been replaced with the doner truck we called "smokey" (based on the smell inside). Old smokey will soon get a different name for we have removed most of the smell... Drop a comment on what we should name the truck. This is Nick's Capstone so we were thinking old cap, but it has not caught on yet. The black truck is "Old Rusty" and the dark grey truck is "Old Smokey!"

Well, we bought a new DIY project! We bought a 2003 Dodge Dakota! Many features it has a bad engine, rust, and well we will review in a video when we get it towed to the house. It did come with an extra engine! Please join us and journey through the experience... Maybe we should start with a nice stereo system, so at least we can listen to music during the many hours of work! I will post pictures of the truck when we get it here!
