As painful as this reality is, I believe this is not a time for outrage alone. It is a time for strategic reflection, reorganization, and redirection.
The Igbo nation has always been defined by resilience. We are builders by instinct, creators by heritage, and investors by divine design. Every attempt to suppress us has only birthed stronger generations of thinkers, builders, and leaders.
Therefore, I call on all Igbo investors, entrepreneurs, and property owners in Lagos and beyond to reassess, diversify, and fortify their investments. Continue to do business wherever opportunities exist , but do so wisely, legally, and with full awareness of the political and economic dynamics at play.
Most importantly, let us begin to channel significant investments into the South-East and other safe zones like Enugu, Awka, Owerri, Onitsha, Nnewi, Abakaliki, Asaba to build new cities, modern estates, industrial parks, and tech-driven communities that can rival any part of Nigeria.
Let us also create an Igbo Investment Protection Fund. The discussion has already begun to create a platform for legal defense, collective bargaining, and insurance against economic discrimination. Our unity is our greatest defense.
