Consider my cup completely filled. I literally wrote what I love.

I missed the survival vibes of the dystopian era but I love fairytale retellings. So I got to fullfil my dreams and write my no-spice dystopian fantasy books. And I have you to thank for it. 🥰

Right now my new and improved prequel villain origin story to The Ember Crown series, Ruined Ashes, is with my proofreader. 😱 I've added and expanded so many chapters that I'm sure even if you read the old version of the story... this is going to feel a bit different.

One of my favorite additions to this edition is a seen where the fire wielders are vulnerable because they face their biggest weakness... water. If their skin gets wet... they can't access the power within. But there's a work around... which I'll let you read for yourself this September 2026.

Share this to your stories if you still miss the 2010s dystopian era too!

Are you intrigued? Click the link in my bio to download my free prequel novella, Ruined Ashes, or comment SPARK below and I will instantly DM you the link!

I love a good morally gray rebellion, but my main characters are fiercely good people trying to survive a corrupt system. Clarissa grew up forced into crime, but she holds onto her heart and her morals even when she's thrown into a brutal training arena.
There will be no-spice, no-gore, and No-Profanity

Nothing better than discovering a no-spice fantasy author.

When I sit down to write, I intentionally leave out graphic gore, spice, and profanity. I want to give you the intense, fast-paced action of a rebellion like in the Hunger Games without the gorey details while ensuring the romance focuses on slow burn tension and stays out of the bedroom.

But I'm also not a fan of the love triangle... or toxic relationships. While my characters may have intense reactions under duress, they will always treat each other with respect... except for the villains, of course. 😉

Whether you’re looking to avoid certain themes or just want a dystopian fantasy series that focuses on the story, be sure to save this for when you need to add a no-spice read to your TBR.

Nothing better than knowing what to expect from a high-stakes romantic dystopian fantasy author before you dive into a book.

I love packing my chapters with reluctant heroes who slowly discover hidden powers, swoony romance, high-stakes political intrigue, and plenty of action that will make your heart race.

But you will never find overly gorey descriptions, profianty, or explicte romance on the page in any of my books.

My series:
🔥The Ember Crown YA Dystopian Fantasy Series
🌳The Progenitor Chronicles YA Sci-fi Fantasy Adventure series.

Charity Anthologies: All proceeds go to charity

🔥Caught in the Flames - features a collection of seven unique sci-fi and fantasy stories from multiple authors
🪸Five Golden Names - features twenty-one unique sci-fi and fantasy stories from multiple authors

Whether you’re craving fast-paced tension or sweet, clean kisses that build over a whole series, be sure to save this for your next Kindle download.

And if you found this helpful, comment below with the one trope you always look for! I really want to know.

Consider this application officially submitted to be your new favorite no-spice dystopian fantasy author.

If you want fast-paced rebellions and clean romance with kisses only, I'm your author.

I have indie published six full-legth books and several short stories.

I'm currently working on several projects, including rewrites, for a prequel to The Ember Crown series that involves the villain of the series. The new and improved Ruined Ashes is scheduled to be released in September 2026.

Then I am rewriting a short story that bridges my two series that will also rerelease around September 2026 entitled, Altered Rain.

I'm writing the third book in The Ember Crown series, called Resilient Flames. I've been having a lot of fun with this one... hopefully everyone who read the sneak peak at the back of Rebels Spark is intrigued.

Plus, I'm working on expanding The Last Coral, which was featured in Five Golden Names, into a full-legth dystopian fairytale...

Consider my writing desk full. 😅

Do we have anything in common? Let me know.

🥳REBELS SPARK IS FINALLY HERE! 🥳

I’m so excited to share Rebels Spark with the world. I know you’re going to love the series.

Be warned: This is a YA dystopian fantasy book with all the anguish, trauma, and despair. But as with all my books, I coat everything with resilience and hope, pushing the characters to overcome the darkness.

If you love high-stakes books/movies like:

📚The Hunger Games

📚Divergent

📚Red Queen

Then this dystopian fantasy series might be your new obsession!

You’ll never find:

🚫Spice

🚫Gore

🚫Profanity

The cast of characters is awesome. Clarissa is a snarky, intelligent pessimist who wants to do the right thing… but doesn’t always go about it the right way. She’s impulsive, stubborn, and sometimes her own worst enemy. Then there is Gabriel the broody mentor, whose allegiances seem to be caught somewhere between protection and duty. And of course my favorite character, Fireball, whose basically based off my dog. 😂

This time Clarissa aches with guilt. But she’s held captive by the king and forced to hunt for more fire wielders. To make matters worse a deadly disease sweeps through the captives. And she can’t save them by herself. So she’ll have to trust her captor to help her... but she my lose herself in the process.

She’ll have to Rise to the challenge or Burn.

Ready to dive in?

Do not read this dystopian fantasy series if...

You want low-stakes, cozy vibe, spicy books, because you’ll be very disappointed.

This is a fantasy story set it a dystopian. The world is bleak, the characters are coping with and experiencing trauma. But it’s not all doom and gloom either.

I’m generally an optimistic author, so I coat the oppressive worlds with resilience and hope... and lighthearted moments that will make you smile. That’s why Gabriel has dog that bosses Clarissa around.

Remember this is a YA/NA series, so it’s written with teens in mind. There’s nothing worse than PG-13 violence similar to The Hunger Games. The slow burn romance is nothing more than kisses. And there is NO profanity on the page.

If you’re a high-stakes reader who craves a series that will give you the vibes of the 2010s dystopian era but with royal drama of your favorite fantasy series, then ADD THIS SERIES TO YOUR TBR TODAY!

Rebels Spark, the 2nd book in my no-spice dystopian fantasy series, launches in 2 days!😱

The book link is in the comments:

Before we dive in, here's where it all began. Clarissa is an orphan with a forbidden power, forced to fight for her survival in the king's ruthless arena.

If you haven't started the series yet, pick up Rising Ember today!

Now in Rebels Spark, Clarissa is riddled with grief and forced to hunt down the very people she secretly wants to protect. Her problems keep getting worse when she's ordered to train a captured fire wielder for the arena.
But then something far more dangerous surfaces.

A deadly disease is spreading among the recruits, and if Clarissa can't find a cure in time, she'll be forced to become something she never wanted to be. An executioner.

And through it all, she might have to rely on her captor just to survive.

If you're a fan of Red Queen, Hunger Games, Divergent, then this series might be your next obsession!

Are you like Gabriel, keeping secrets to protect the ones you love? Or like Clarissa, struggling to trust the one person who believes in you?

If I'm being honest, I relate more to Clarissa here. Trust is hard. But I understand why Gabriel does what he does. Sometimes the secrets we keep are an act of love.

It's only 3 days until Rebels Spark releases on June 9th!

I really enjoyed writing this second book. If Rising Ember was about learning to hope, Rebels Spark is about what happens when hope gets complicated. Clarissa isn't the same person she was. She's carrying something heavier now. Guilt has a way of changing you. And Gabriel? He's dealing with his own issues and might be a little overprotective.
Can she learn to trust him? That's the question that kept me up writing.

What I loved most was deepening the connection between these two characters. It was the part of this book I didn't want to rush, and if you make it to chapter eleven... let's just say I had a lot of fun with that one. 😁

The dog is also still adorable. And anyone who says otherwise will have to confront my dog, Holly.

Which do you relate to more? Gabriel, who keeps secrets to protect the people he loves? Or Clarissa, who struggles to trust even when she wants to?
