If you love dystopian books, you'll know there's usually some violence, but in my series, it's never described in nauseating detail. Some characters may perish, but it's never glorified.

The slow burn romance? Still very much alive in Rebels Spark. We're talking more awkward moments, near-misses, and those deep connections that make you grip your book a little tighter. It will never go beyond a kiss, but honestly, you won't need it to. 😅

Unlike used books, checking a book out from the library puts money directly in the authors pocket. How much an author receives in royalties depends on the format and how much the book is priced.

For eBooks and Audiobooks royalties, authors are paid:

💲Per book checkout

💲Per book purchase with a limited license.

For Print royalties, authors are paid:

💲Per book purchase and a new one won’t be purchased until it’s worn out.

Here’s how you can support your favorite authors:

1) Ask them if their books are available and which books are there. If they say they can’t because their book is in Kindle Unlimited, let them know Amazon has changed their policy. They can absolutely make their ebooks available in the library.

2) Bug your librarian. Libraries have budgets. But if they see a demand, they are more likely to make room for the book. So gather up your book club and head to your local library.

3) Read books are your library apps. We really appreciate every penny. Seriously, authors celebrate it.

Libraries are great way to consume your favorite books on a budget. It’s also a great way to try new to you authors.

May the 4th be with you!

If you’ve known me for any length of time, then you’ll know I love blending sci-fi and fantasy together in my books. So of course, Star Wars is one of my favorite science fantasy franchises.

It checks off all my story favorites:

✅Chosen Ones

✅ Found family

✅Royalty (either good or bad)

✅Protectors with a moral code or at least know how to operate in a corrupt system.

✅Superpowers that defy physics

✅Resistance groups that take down the Empire.

✅ Redemption Arcs

✅And of course... romance.

❓️Have you ever joined an ARC Team? Whether you read one fantasy or dystopian book a month or ten, consider joining the ARC teams of your favorite authors.

If you’ve never heard of an ARC book before, it means that you receive a book in advance of its launch. The author or publishers goal is to try to get as many reviews as possible on the day the book goes on sale.

ARC and Street Teams are so important... especially to us indie authors. Without the help of readers willing to pick up and review our books, they would never be seen.

All you have to do as an ARC reader is:

– Read early copies
– Share your thoughts on platforms like Amazon,
Goodreads, Bookbub

ARC copies cost nothing to you as the reader... but they can cost the author time and money. So don’t join more teams than you can handle. We are relying on your review to come though.

This mythological sci-fi fantasy adventure is what started me down the path of my author career.

The story started off as just a picture in my mind of a dense forest and a young woman with incredible powers destined to protect it from those who would destroy it for its resources. The story grew and it eventually expanded the barrier of time and space, which was kind of cool to write.

But Xendara will forever be a precious character to me because she started my author journey. Her grief over her lost family members was my grief too. She healed me in ways that only a character with the ability to manipulate the very atoms of our existence could heal someone.

And so this week I celebrate this four book collection, because without The Progenitor Chronicles I wouldn't have connected with all of you.

📚 Do not read this fantasy story if...

You want a spicy book, a slow-paced plot, or swearing, because you’ll be very disappointed.

This is a dystopian fantasy retelling of The Fisherman and His Wife. The world is bleak, with tyrannical kings, injustice, and people on the brink of survival. But it’s not all doom and gloom either.

I’m generally an optimistic author, so I coat the oppressive worlds with resilience and hope... and lighthearted moments that will make you smile. I mean there are robot waiters, which should tell you something right there. 🤖

This story is on the cozier side of my dystopian fantasy books. There is fantasy violence, but nothing worse than PG-13 stakes without the gore.

If you’re a high-stakes reader who craves a fariytale story with dystopian vibes and characters who haven't figured out their powers yet, then THIS STORY IS FOR YOU!
