❓️Have you ever joined an ARC Team? Whether you read one fantasy or dystopian book a month or ten, consider joining the ARC teams of your favorite authors.
If you’ve never heard of an ARC book before, it means that you receive a book in advance of its launch. The author or publishers goal is to try to get as many reviews as possible on the day the book goes on sale.
ARC and Street Teams are so important... especially to us indie authors. Without the help of readers willing to pick up and review our books, they would never be seen.
All you have to do as an ARC reader is:
– Read early copies – Share your thoughts on platforms like Amazon, Goodreads, Bookbub
ARC copies cost nothing to you as the reader... but they can cost the author time and money. So don’t join more teams than you can handle. We are relying on your review to come though.
And I just want to say thank you to all of the readers who have supported my book launches. You guys are so amazing. 🥰
And if you miss the dystopian era and want to read more books with trials like the Hunger Games, augmented realities like Divergent, and the superpowers like Red Queen...
Then The Ember Crown series is calling your name.
The first book in the series, Rising Ember, is already out. But if you didn’t get a chance to be on my ARC team don’t worry. You can read it as part of your Kindle Unlimited subscription. Or request the book in your local library.
And if you’re waiting for book 2... it’s coming this JUNE!
📚 Comment “FACTION” to join the team or learn more.
This mythological sci-fi fantasy adventure is what started me down the path of my author career.
The story started off as just a picture in my mind of a dense forest and a young woman with incredible powers destined to protect it from those who would destroy it for its resources. The story grew and it eventually expanded the barrier of time and space, which was kind of cool to write.
But Xendara will forever be a precious character to me because she started my author journey. Her grief over her lost family members was my grief too. She healed me in ways that only a character with the ability to manipulate the very atoms of our existence could heal someone.
And so this week I celebrate this four book collection, because without The Progenitor Chronicles I wouldn't have connected with all of you.
Is there a story (book/movie/show) that changed your life? Tell me below.
🎊 Happy Release Day to Five Golden Names 🎊 Comment CORAL to get the link!
I can't believe my short dystopian fantasy story inspired by a conversation about Pirates of the Caribbean is finally out in the world. 😍
The Last Coral is about a woman just trying to feed her family but ends up with a group of pirates on their way to steal an ancient artifact from a greedy king. If they don't get it back in time... the sea will swallow them whole.
But this Lunar Chronicles inspired story isn't the only story you'll find in this series...
There are 20 other adventurous fantasy short stories for you to discover. 😍
If you're looking for no-spice fantasy stories, this book might be the place to start. 😁
You want a spicy book, a slow-paced plot, or swearing, because you’ll be very disappointed.
This is a dystopian fantasy retelling of The Fisherman and His Wife. The world is bleak, with tyrannical kings, injustice, and people on the brink of survival. But it’s not all doom and gloom either.
I’m generally an optimistic author, so I coat the oppressive worlds with resilience and hope... and lighthearted moments that will make you smile. I mean there are robot waiters, which should tell you something right there. 🤖
This story is on the cozier side of my dystopian fantasy books. There is fantasy violence, but nothing worse than PG-13 stakes without the gore.
If you’re a high-stakes reader who craves a fariytale story with dystopian vibes and characters who haven't figured out their powers yet, then THIS STORY IS FOR YOU!
If you loved the futuristic fairytales in The Lunar Chronicles, the high-seas adventure of Pirates of the Caribbean, and the elemental powers of Shadow & Bone, then you need to read The Last Coral. ⛵️

Let’s talk about the stakes in this story. Collent is a fisherwoman who just wants to feed her family and keep her head down. But everything changes when she awakens a sacred relic... and her anxiety accidentally summons a deadly storm.
Now the king has stolen the relic, her cousin is in his clutches, and Collent is forced into an unlikely alliance with a rebel pirate prince.
She has about a week's worth of untrained power, a growing tempest on her hands, and absolutely no business being on a pirate ship. But she has one chance to take the relic back... before the sea destroys them all.
If you love daring heists, "quietly fierce" heroines, and dystopian fairytale retellings (this one is The Fisherman and His Wife!), then you’ll love this short story.
Plus, all proceeds support literacy, so it’s a win for everyone!
Are you the quiet observer like Collent... just trying to protect your family? Or are you more like Prince Remi... the rebel ready to risk it all against the crown?
Personally, I’m a lot more like Collent. I tend to notice the small details others miss. But I also really relate to her struggle... that feeling when your anxiety is so intense it feels like it could accidentally summon a literal storm.
Then there’s Remi. He’s the spark to her steady tide... the rebel prince who pulls her out of her comfort zone and onto a pirate ship. Their dynamic was so much fun to write, especially while they're trying to save the last living technology on the planet.
It’s only 3 days until The Last Coral releases in the Five Golden Names anthology!
I can't wait for you to meet my Sea Guardian and her rebel prince. Plus, all proceeds go toward supporting literacy.
❓️Which one are you? The observant Collent or the daring Prince Remi?
The Five Golden Names charity anthology is almost here, and I can’t wait for you to dive into my story, The Last Coral. If you love high-stakes fantasy with a dystopian twist, this one is for you.
Let’s talk tropes and the vibes you can expect: 🏴☠️ A Pirate Prince forced into a life of crime (At least in the eyes of his father) 🌊 A dying ocean begging for a savior 💎 An impossible heist for a legendary artifact 👑 A ruthless, greedy King (who definitely wasn't "husband of the year") 🎣 A fisherwoman with hidden powers she never asked for 🤝 Unlikely allies who have to trust each other to survive 🔥 A retelling of The Fisherman and His Wife like you’ve never seen it before
This isn’t your childhood fairy tale. This is a survival-driven, elemental battle to save a world that’s running out of time.
A huge shoutout to the early readers. Your excitement for this charity project means the world to us and helps support global literacy! ♥️
Are you ready to join the heist? Only 4 days to go!
I can’t believe we’re only five days away from the launch of Five Golden Games. 🐚✨
Writing The Last Coral took me to a place that’s part Pirates of the Caribbean and part The Lunar Chronicles, but with the elemental powers abd desperation of Shadow & Bone. It’s a dystopian fairytale about what happens when a king’s greed threatens to destroy the very last ocean on the planet.
Between the exiled prince-turned-pirate and the fisherwoman who just wants to survive, this story is all about trusting yourself when the storm is already overhead. ⛈️
There are over 20 fantasy stories total in this charity anthology, and the countdown to Tuesday, April 14th is officially ON.
One thing about my dystopian fantasy books is that there will always be some sort of advanced tech.
But that doesn’t mean I'll bog down the stories with details of how the tech works.
Why?
The only reason the tech exists in my worlds is either to give an advantage to the bad guys...
Or so the main character can get to the people who need help.
And for some reason I seem a little obsessive with hovercars... haha!
Whether you’re in the mood to read about an ancient being with superpowers that can rival the stars, or you want to heat things up with fire wielders, or you want to step into a world where tech and magic go hand-in-hand...
Then you might have just found your new favorite books.
Drop a ❤️ in the chat below if you love books like that.
And if you found this helpful, share it with your fantasy reading bestie! 📚🖤 Okay so... dystopian fantasy. It's one of those genres where you've probably read it... loved it... and had absolutely no idea what to call it. It's got the grit of a dystopian world but is completely immersed in magical abilities... and the people in charge have figured out how to use all of it against society. Your heroes can't just take the villain down... they have to change the mind of an entire world. And I know you're thinking it sounds a little like dark fantasy... but it's not. Though some might share a few tropes. Dark fantasy is more into the horror. Dystopian fantasy is about the rebellion... just with cool superpowers. 🖤 And very frankly my dystopian fantasy books are always coated in hope! Sooo... which one are you? 👇 🏹 Here for the rebellion 🔥 Give me the chosen one 🌹 I need romance AND stakes 📚 Just found my new favorite genre 🖤 I write this genre too
