The one thing I have learned and appreciated about my budgeting journey is that it is indeed a journey, okay? It is full of ups and downs…accomplishments and mistakes, and it continues to humble me. My downs have shown me that although I know how to budget, and budget well (I write humbly hehe 😜 ), I will still mess up. I made some ridiculous mistakes in the last year and a half. Mistakes that I regret, and am trying to forgive myself for…and that’s real! But I am grateful that I know exactly what to do to pick myself up again (with the help of God, of course).

There are two reasons why I wanted to openly share my budgeting journey back in 2021. For one, I wanted to hold myself accountable. But the main reason was…I wanted to share MY journey, and how real it is. I have always told myself to not be afraid to share my real numbers…to be as open as I want to be…because I know it helps others. I mean…I can’t be the only one going through what I go through right? There is a special type of community that comes together when you know you aren’t alone. Plus…I am a part of the nosey girls club where we love to see how much people make and what they do with it lol 😂

Anyway, I say all that to say…my platform is used to not only educate, but to share. So, I hope my mistakes help you to not make them. But if you have, just know you are not alone. We will get through this!

& your accountability does not need to be made into a social media platform. It can be family, friends, or even us in the comment sections. Just wanted to put that out there lol

I will be sharing more about how I plan to get back on track…and beyond. I got debt to pay off, stuff to invest in, college funds to contribute to, a home to purchase, and most importantly, kids to make proud. So yeah…come along my journey :)

Hey Beautiful People,

I know it’s been a while! 😕

Just wanted to let you all know that I’m ready to come back to YT and IG with budget videos. I needed to desperately take a mental break.

I also wanted to come back once I missed it, ya know?! I never want this to feel like a job, but more like a passion that I’m blessed to call my job (make income from).

I’m at the point now where I feel mentally ready!

& I’m coming back solely with VIDEOS! Taking it back to the basics with OG TaylorBudgets, and making my detailed budgeting & cash stuffing videos. Nothing to pressure filled…only fun!

Because that’s all I want to do…is make fun videos for yall that I love and can motivate us.

Hope everyone is doing great.

Love yall, God bless, and see you soon! 🫶🏾

Let’s go over my 2nd pay in July ‼️

First off, book is from @theelevatedlifeco

Okay now… it was in the 2nd week that I realized I needed to pull from my savings to take care of bills. As a full time entrepreneur, most of my income comes from my online shop, and in the last few months, income from my shop has decreased.

It’s been more difficult to use my weekly earnings (I pay myself from my business every Friday) to pay my bills, BUT GOD 🙌🏾

I’m just so happy that I always have savings sitting in an account in a “hold” because you never know when you will need it.

I decided to pull out what I needed to fully fund all of my bills for August. 👏🏾

I am one month ahead on bills, so I am always saving up for next month’s bills in the month that I’m in…meaning for the month of July, I am setting aside money every week to go towards my August bills.

My bills for the month of August total to $4430. That includes personal & business bills. I decided to also use some savings to set aside money for my annual Amazon Prime membership for $75 due in January, and my gym membership which is $40/3 months.

Of course, I pay my tithes from what I earned in the week ($546) so that was $55.

Total fixed expenses came out to $4600.

Next was my daily expenses for $240. That’s for a week of spending.

Lastly, I contributed to 2 savings challenges, and used some of the savings I pulled from to also contribute to some important sinking funds…Christmas ($500), Pre-K stuff ($100), and Travel ($100). Lauryn is starting school in a month so I wanted to put money away for whatever her school requires. I have a trip next month that’s paid for, but wanted to have some spending money. Lastly, I haven’t started saving for Christmas yet, so I wanted to start it off nice.

& that’s my budget 👍🏾
