The Samiti for Education, Environment, Social and Health Action (SEESHA) is a non-profit organization that works towards empowering underprivileged communities across several States in India. SEESHA was established in the year 2003 with the vision of providing charitable services to the needy by philanthropist Dr. Paul Dhinakaran, registered under the Trust Act.
Vision -To assist the poorest of the poor and the needy towards alleviation of suffering, upliftment of the deprived, disabled, marginalized affected by ill health, social unrest, natural calamities irrespective of caste, creed, colour or religion.

Summer camps provide empowering spaces for children from deprived family backgrounds that make learning enjoyable & engaging.
On day 1 of the summer camp yesterday at the Avanam-Periyanayagipuram Gaja housing project location, it was pure fun with lots of learning for the 60 children from the local communities. The kids enjoyed engaging in interactive games like chess, carrom, bottle filling, kabbadi, & musical chairs. New friendships blossomed, their gaming skills sharpened, and their growing talents were nurtured!

Where skills are built & potentials bloom!
Summer camps provide invaluable opportunities for children from vulnerable communities to learn, do a wide range of team-based activities, and discover hidden talents.
Nearly 125 children from the local communities participated in summer camp held at SEESHA's learning centre at D.J. Halli, Bengaluru, in the past 2 days. During day 1, awareness sessions were held among the children about personal hygiene, healthy eating, dengue awareness, good study habits, prevention of mobile addiction, and many more.
During day 2, 12 types of games were conducted among the participating children to encourage physical activity & team spirit, and prizes were distributed to the winners.

Empowering their career dreams!
SEESHA, in association with ONGC, conducted a special career guidance program under the theme ‘Empowering the Future of Underprivileged Tribal School Children’ at the Eklavya Model Residential School in Kumizhi village, Chengalpattu district, yesterday.
The program was inaugurated by ONGC's CSR project in charge, Ms. Meetha Prasad, and her teammate, Ms. Priyadharshini, with participation from SEESHA's Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Moses Palmer, Project Head Prof. Joel Bhose, SEESHA staff, and the school authorities. Expert career guidance professionals led the interactive sessions, providing valuable guidance to help the students make informed career decisions in their future and pursue their academic dreams.
Each of the 181 participating students was gifted a free career guidance manual, a school kit comprising essential stationery items to equip them for academic success.
