Tom Aspaul - Live from Grand Union is now LIVE on YouTube!!

I had the pleasure of recording two tracks from Cabin Fever, live at Grand Union Recording Studios in Leicester. It was a roasting hot day in August, but I decided I’d wear my velvet jacket to get into the lounge singer mood. We did four takes of ‘Bang Bang’ and two of 'Not My Place'.

I ~insisted~ we do the whole thing in one shot, no cuts - so there are some bum notes, but I love how we managed to reinterpret the songs with just keys, a drum machine and vocals.

The session was beautifully shot by Rob Hislop from Rendah Films and mixed and mastered by Dave Tidmarsh - with Danny Bathurst bringing the songs to life on the Rhodes.

ENJOY!!
