🎤 Cover Alert: “Forgiven”

I’m so grateful to share a beautiful cover of “Forgiven” by Biblical Songs. Their voice/interpretation brought new life and emotion to the song I wrote as a prayer for forgiveness.

When I penned this song, my prayer was that it would echo the love, mercy, and example of Christ — especially in seasons where forgiving others seems impossible. Hearing someone else step into that story is humbling and thrilling.

New Song: “Forgiven”

This song was written as a prayer—because forgiveness isn’t easy.
It’s one thing to know we should forgive… it’s another to actually do it when we’ve been hurt.

While writing, I kept going back to the cross.
Jesus was innocent. Wounded, mocked, rejected—yet His response was not anger, but love:

“Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.”

He didn’t react according to how others treated Him—He acted according to who He is.

That’s the heart of this song.
It’s not just about being forgiven—it’s about becoming forgiving.

I pray these lyrics help anyone holding onto pain or resentment to find freedom.
Because forgiveness is not just releasing someone else—it’s how God sets us free.

We have written a song based on the parable of the prodigal son—a story Jesus told that still speaks clearly today.

The lyrics follow the journey of someone who walked away in pride, tasted short-lived pleasure, and eventually came to the end of himself. But the heart of the song is found in the return—a father watching, waiting, and embracing without hesitation.

The chorus is a simple invitation filled with grace, not guilt. The bridge points to the only place true forgiveness and freedom are found—Jesus Christ.

If this message speaks to you or someone you know, we hope the words encourage reflection and draw hearts back to the Father who still calls:
