Last night I sent dozens of take-down requests on YouTube to channels who had downloaded my content then reuploaded to their own channels. Today I received a lot of emails expressing how I am the bad guy for doing this. Really? My videos clearly state they are copyright. I spend what little money I have to buy cameras and equipment which cost thousands and thousands of £ only for someone to download my video, remove all my branding and then reupload it claiming it as theirs! WOW. And then I get told in emails “there is no copyright in Islam”???? Well guess what? Muslims invented copyright law and I have that book. If I find my content on ANY channel from this point forth I will not hesitate to issue a take down notice of just 24 hours. If you don’t open you emails on a daily then that’s your problem, not mine. If you have three of more videos of mine on your channel then your whole channel will disappear.
As for the channels who had agreements with me, if I find you removed my branding ANYWHERE then you too will get takedown notices. I’m not leaving anyone to take the mickey out of my efforts like this. I know it’s Ramadhan but even wars were fought in Ramadhan so there you go.

Before you become offended, remember this is the British Museum we are talking about. A collection of ancient artefacts looted and stolen from all lands and displayed unashamedly in that “museum”. Don’t forget that. This was to be expected.
