My name is Jack. I'm a professional software engineer with just about 10 years industry experience as an SDE and EM. I appreciate you taking the time to watch my videos. Hopefully they spark a few new ideas or make a difficult concept finally click.

LearnGit.io v2.0 is now live and YouTube is the first to know!
I'll be making tweaks here and there over the next few days before writing up an official blog post and newsletter, but for now, feel free to join (learngit.io/) or log in to play around.
This redesign way mainly aimed at making progress tracking easier: where you are and what comes next. So in addition to the updated design system, each lesson now has a clear Watch -> Explore -> Read pathway. Watch the video lesson, explore the concept with interactive step-by-step visualizations, then read the written documentation.
LearnGit doesn't have trial accounts so you'll need to join to see the redesign, but I'm working on opening up a few lessons for free so you can get a feel for the platform before deciding to join or not. Stay tuned for that hopefully next week.

Switching focus back to YouTube soon, but the last few weeks have been focused on redesigning LearnGit.io
The goal of this redesign was a structural reorganization to make it easier to track your progress: where you are and what comes next. Step-by-step visualizations are now also more prominent.
Here are some preliminary screenshots, as well as a screenshot of where LearnGit is at today, pre-redesign. I'm hoping to release next week.

Might have gotten a bit carried away on the animations for the worktrees video. I'm probably too much of a perfectionist for my own good — but I feel like this is one of my best so far. A peak into the chaos, maybe one day I'll organize my timeline like a professional video editor. Kinda reminds me of a flame graph...
