I've crossed more than one 60+ milestone now and I'm enjoying makeup and wearing whatever makes me happy. So, come along for the ride. There will be fun with makeup, even flashy colors that we may hear we're too old to wear! Clothes can be comfortable, dressed up, dressed down. A little embarrassment is good for building character in your grandkids *wink, wink* You be the way cool Granny, let others be the 'normal one'.

Guess where I went today... Ulta as my birthday outing this morning. Picked up the Beekman face wash on the 21 days sale, got some off on a couple other things on the birthday coupon. Nyx Butter Blush and Bronzer (1 each), and a colourpop palette - which I already can't remember the name of... Believe it or not, this is my first time even stepping in to an Ulta. I was briefly in one of Sephora at JC Penny once. No purchases. Rocking day so far!

So, when the floods came, the sump pump said 'yeah, no' and promptly died. We took a very uncomfortable trip to the hardware store, detouring around washed-out road spots and such. Lots of places were so deep that whole communities were blocked. Any creek, drain ditch, or storm sewer was spewing water back onto the roads. We got the pump, one of the last in the area (good thing we had a shopvac -those were in nearly every hand coming out of the store).
Nearly every little town mentioned in the news in the Cumberland area is 'near us'. We got to watch the rescue crews, with boats in tow, head to Westerport to rescue the schoolchildren.
We got lucky being mostly on a hill, but kind of middle of the slope, so the run off from the top got us. Our downslope neighbor is right on the edge of the local creek, and that was a near disaster. It stayed in its banks.
We're good for now. We have critter and people food, coffee, and power (crossing fingers). The new pump is a champ. We had minor damage in the basement since we don't keep much down there, and most of it is up on tables in plastic boxes.
More rain is on the way, sigh, we will not be on the roads again anytime soon.

I've been trying to get a video edited that started the day after Turkey day. The first look was 'really a horror'. I looked like a bruised raccoon. Tried again the next day - got a great look. It's taken a while trying to find where the Chromebook hide both vids and the stills. With any decency from whatever gremlins have taken over my computers, I'll have a vid out in a day or two more.

I got bored while in recovery from my surgery (diabetic foot issue). Anyway there should be a real video coming shortly. Ion hair lightening and color, elf palette, Newest foundation in the shade suggested by the hubby who told me I was not as pale as uncooked chicken because the chicken had more color. Geez I need more moisturizer, wow. Add that with the so called 'ozempic face' aka dropping weight and going slack skin even quicker than general ageing. Now that I'm allowed to walk more and lift more than 10 lbs - it's time to really get back to Doing!

Cleaned up makeup desk - of course the current back drop is the business desk. Katy and Mittens in a sunbeam. Mittens in a fruit bowl. Brain care specialist is happy with the progress. Yay. New vid soon I hope.
