Friends?
That’s what you called us?
When the world around us asks you—
"Friends? Huh?"
Then why is it that every time our eyes meet,
They say something else?
The people in the room can read it.
Then why can’t we?
There is this lingering sense of something wrapped around us
Something hard to deny.
Yet, we say “just friends.”
To whom are we lying?
To the world?
Or to ourselves?
But the question is—
Till when?
Till when do I have to deny
So that I can make you more than just a friend?
