Cruise Ship Crown Princess leaving Sydney on the 7th of October 2026 at 7pm
on a cool windy Spring evening.

She had just returned from a 35 day cruise to Hawaii and she is now starting
a 28 day cruise around Australia.
The itinerary is

Newcastle NSW, Melbourne Victoria, Adelaide South Australia, Albany, Busselton,
Fremantle, Western Australia,
Broome, Darwin NT, Cairns, Willis Island, Brisbane Queensland and returning to Sydney
on the 4th of November.

a cool foggy morning after completing a dry dock at the
Captain Cook Graving Dock before she starts service in October.

Cruise Ship Carnival Splendor leaves Sydney Harbour 7th of August 2026
on a cold Winter Afternoon for 11 day cruise.
Her next stop for her passengers is Vanuatu and the warm waters of the South Pacific.
That sounds like a great way to escape the cold winter mornings currently in Sydney.

The only ships sailing out of Sydney in the Winter at the moment are Carnival Splendor
and Carnival Adventure of Carnival Cruise Line. With the cruise season in Alaska
finishing in September, a number of Ships will sail across the Pacific Ocean back to Australia and New Zealand to start the Cruise Season in October.

During this quiet time on Sydney Harbour before the Cruise Ships return in October
there has been a lot of work going on at the Overseas Passenger Terminal with a Dredging
vessel named Machiavelli from New Zealand. This Backhoe Dredger is 53 meters long and 15 meters wide and has been working at the Passenger Terminal in between Cruise Ship visits and it has been reported that the depth in the area around the terminal will be increased by about a metre.

Carnival Splendor returns to Sydney from her South Pacific Cruise on the 17th of August.

P&O Cruises Pacific Jewel depends Circular Quay
on an afternoon for a Cruise Ship from the past.

She was built in 1990 by Fincantieri in Monfalcone, Italy.
She was originally ordered for Sitmar Cruises but Debuted for
Princess Cruises as Crown Princess and was christened by
Sophia Loren.

From 2002 she was named A’Rosa Blue and AIDAblu
2007 she was named Ocean Village Two
From 2009 to 2019 she was named Pacific Jewel for P&O Cruises Australia.
2019 she was named Karnika and sadly in 2021 was sold for scrapping in
Alang , India.

Ocean Liner from the past visited Sydney.
The classic lines of Saga Ruby can be seen as she manoeuvres
in front of the Sydney Opera House and docks stern first at the
Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay in 2007.

She was originally named Vistafjord and started service in 1973
for the Norwegian America Line.
Vistafjord was built at the Swan Hunter shipyard on the River Tyne,
this is the same yard that constructed the Ocean Liner RMS Carpathia ( 1902 )
and the RMS Mauritania ( 1906 ) for Cunard Line.

In 1983 Cunard Line took over her management and in 1999 was renamed Caronia.
She was sold to Saga in 2004 and was renamed Saga Ruby. In 2014 she was sold to
be used as a Floating Hotel and renamed Oasia, sadly these plans failed
and in 2017 she arrived in Alang, India to he scrapped.

on the 7th of June on a cruise to Queensland.
The Freshwater Class Ferry Narrabeen passes her on its
way to Manly on a mild sunny winter’s afternoon.

Cruise Ship Carnival Adventure leaving Sydney Harbour on a sunny but cool afternoon on June 1 the first official day of winter. She is on a 4 day Cruise to Moreton Island,Queensland.
She returns on the 5th of June. On the 8th of June she sails on a 10 day cruise to the warm waters of the South Pacific.

She was built in 2001 for Princess Cruises in Italy and was named Golden Princess. She has a very unusual design at the stern with an Observation Lounge. She was renamed Pacific Adventure for P&O Australia and when P&O was closed in Australia she renamed Carnival Adventure.

Celebrity Cruises Celebrity Solstice visited Sydney on a long voyage from Singapore to Vancouver to start her Alaska Cruise Season. Celebrity Solstice recently had a 50 million dollar 45 day Dry Dock in Singapore which included the addition of new cabins above the observation lounge that can be seen in the last photo.
The real lawn on the top deck has been removed and replaced with artificial grass and the glass blowing show has been replaced with a bar.

Celebrity Solstice was built in 2008.

Cruise Ship Anthem of the Seas leaving for the final time this Cruise season.
She is on a 26 day voyage from Sydney to Vancouver arriving on the 9th of May.
She will be cruising to Alaska for Royal Caribbean Cruises till the end of September.
Her cruise visited Bay of Islands, Papeete, Moorea, Raiatea Island, Honolulu,
Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, Vancouver, BC Canada.
She arrives back in Sydney on the 30th of October.

Cruise Ship Celebrity Edge leaving Sydney Harbour for the final time
this Cruise Season on the 20th of April on a 25 day positioning voyage to Vancouver.
She will be arriving there on the 15th of May, after visiting New Zealand,Tahiti, Hawaii.

Celebrity Edge has a very unique profile with her unusual looking Bow and Funnel .
She was built in 2018.

Beam : 39 m ( 128 ft )
