I recently uploaded a new video that I think you're really going to find usefulβespecially if you've ever installed Windows 11 and thought, "Why is this so annoying?"
Because let's be honest, stock Windows 11 right out of the box is frustrating.
In this video, I break down the 7 major problems with a fresh Windows 11 installationβfrom forced updates that take hours during setup, to being pushed into a Microsoft account, to ads everywhere, bloatware apps, OneDrive pushing you to buy storage, and privacy concerns.
But more importantly, I show you how to fix all of these issues. You can either do it manually (which takes forever), or use tools like Winhance and UnattendedWinstall to clean up Windows 11 in just a minute or two.
If you've ever set up a fresh Windows install and felt like you're being constantly marketed to despite already paying for a license, this video is for you.
π Hey! I just released an update to Winhance. (v25.12.05)
Most notable changes: π Added Localization (Translations) for the following languages: English (en) Base Language, Czech (cs), German (de,) French (fr), Hindi (hi), Italian (it), Japanese (ja), Lithuanian (lt), Latvian (lv), Brazilian Portuguese (pt-BR), Portuguese (pt), Russian (ru), Chinese Simplified (zh-Hans).
βοΈ Added a Settings View/Page where users can select Language, Winhance Theme and Config Import & Export buttons.
π Added a 'Report Bugs' button to the Top Nav bar and More Menu flyout so users can report bugs and request features easier and in turn help improve Winhance.
So I just recently added the ability to generate an autounattend XML answer file with Winhance.
Essentially, this allows you to create the perfect Windows version for you. It lets you debloat, optimize, and customize Windows during the installation process.
By the time you get to the desktop, it'll already be set up for you. You can focus on the rest of the setup and not worry about configuring Windows settings or removing bloatware manually.
In my latest video, I show you exactly how to generate the XML file based on your Winhance selections, create bootable media, and install it on a fresh PC.
Trust me, if you install Windows often or just want a cleaner setup out of the box, this is a game-changer!
Also, check out Winhance π www.winhance.net/ and if you value the work that I do, consider supporting me π ko-fi.com/memstechtips - Every little bit helps!
π Hey! So I've been getting quite a few comments asking how you can undo the changes that Winhance makes to your computer...
Here's the thing: Winhance actually has built-in protection that makes reverting changes super straightforward.
When you run Winhance for the first time, it automatically creates a system restore point and backs up your registry before making any changes.
So if you ever want to go back to exactly how things were before, you totally can.
In my latest video, I walk you through the entire process step-by-step on a fresh Windows 11 25H2 install.
You'll see exactly what gets restored automatically, what needs to be handled manually, and how to clean up those removal scripts that Winhance creates.
I even show you how to reinstall any Windows apps you might want back after reverting everything.
Also, check out Winhance π www.winhance.net/ and if you value the work that I do, consider supporting me π ko-fi.com/memstechtips - Every little bit helps!
π Still Using Windows 10? Here's my PERFECT Setup for Windows 10 with Winhance!
I think we can all agree that out of the box, Windows 10 is much better than Windows 11.
But it's still not perfect. It still has ads in the Start menu, widgets, forced Edge and OneDrive integration, and constant notifications.
That's why I created Winhance (the Windows Enhancement Utility) to effortlessly make Windows better and set it up exactly the way I want to.
In my latest video, I show you how I would set up Windows 10 using Winhance to remove all the bloatware and annoyances in just a few clicks.
I also show you some cool things that are only possible on Windows 10, like getting a fully transparent taskbar without any third-party apps and moving the taskbar to the top of the screen!
Trust me, if you're still rocking Windows 10, you'll want to see this setup.
Also, check out Winhance π www.winhance.net/ and if you value the work that I do, consider supporting me π ko-fi.com/memstechtips - Every little bit helps!
π Hey! DON'T Reinstall WINDOWS Without Watching This FIRST!
If you haven't heard yet, I recently updated UnattendedWinstall for the first time in almost over a year.
I think you might know this already, but in case you don't, UnattendedWinstall is my project that leverages Microsoft's Answer Files (or Unattend files) to automate and customize Windows installations. It allows uninstallation of Windows Apps & Features and changes to Windows Settings during the Windows setup process.
While the UnattendedWinstall XML answer file was updated, what I think is much cooler is that I also added the ability to create your own autounattend.xml answer file in Winhance, another project that I'm investing all my time and effort in.
That means, you can now create an XML answer file that fits your needs, you have full control over which apps are removed and which settings are applied!
In this video below, I break all of this and more down for you, I highly recommend checking it out if you're into Windows 10/11 optimization and customization.
Also, check out Winhance π www.winhance.net/ and if you value the work that I do, consider supporting me π ko-fi.com/memstechtips - Every little bit helps!
π Hey! I just released a MASSIVE update to Winhance and it now fully Debloats and Optimizes Windows 10/11 in just 1min20s!
Also included in this new update:
- You can now create autounattend.xml files based on your selections in Winhance so you can debloat, optimize and customize Windows during the installation process.
- WIMUtil (Windows Installation Media Utility) has been integrated into Winhance where you can create custom ISO files, convert WIM to ESD and vice versa, add the Winhance XML, UnattendedWinstall XML or your own autounattend.xml file and extract and add drivers to the Windows ISO file.
- Much much more...
