I've been immersing myself in Jennie's full-length album, *Ruby*, for the past few days, and while I'm still gathering my thoughts, I couldn't wait to share my impressions. I may be late, but better late than never!

It's still unreal that she dropped an album with 15 songs. Over the years, my favorite BLACKPINK member has changed, so I wasn’t expecting much—but the moment I finally listened, I was reminded why Jennie was once my favorite. She did not disappoint. Every track feels unique, showcasing her versatility. So, let's dive in as I rank every song on 'Ruby'!

1. Like Jennie – DDU-DU DDU-DU’s iconic rap has finally been dethroned, and I’m loving every beat of this track. I doubted whether a song like this would work, but no—this is Jennie Kim, and she proved me wrong.

2. Start a War – I had no idea Jennie could even sound like this. How?!

3. Seoul City – I saw an edit of this song on Twitter and instantly fell in love. It feels like I’m seeing Jennie in a glass globe—mesmerizing and untouchable.

4. With the IE (Way Up) – “Why are you evaluatin’ me on your day off?” A necessary callout. Social media has made people way too comfortable disrespecting others behind a screen.

5. ExtraL (feat. Doechii) – Can you believe I hadn’t heard this song until I listened to Ruby? Now it’s in my top 5, and I can’t stop playing it.

6. Handlebars (feat. Dua Lipa) – Jennie brought Dua back, and their voices together are stunning—soft, smooth, and effortlessly cool.

7. Twin – Such a beautiful song. Whoever Jennie wrote this for must be incredibly special.

8. Zen – A masterpiece. I don’t know what went through Jennie’s mind while creating this, but she delivered.

9. Starlight – This is so K-drama OST-coded! The subtle Korean phrases add such a personal touch.

10. Love Hangover – It hurts to rank this here. Every song deserves a higher spot.

11. Mantra – The anticipation for this was real. An empowering anthem from our queen.

12. Filter – The missing piece that completes the album. Perfectly blended into the tracklist.

13. F.T.S – The ultimate IDGAF energy. This album is everything.

14. Damn Right (feat. Childish Gambino & Kali Uchis) – An R&B masterpiece. Am I ranking this right? The guilt is real.

15. Intro: JANE (with FKJ) – Short, simple, and so pretty. If only it were longer—it would definitely be in my top 7!

Ranking this album felt impossible. Ruby is a no-skip masterpiece, and every song deserves to be at the top. Jennie nurtured these tracks so well—who am I to rank them? This is THE album of the year.

Loved Actor Jisoo (Newtopia is fantastic—I’ve already watched the released episodes), singer Jisoo (The whole EP is addictive), and every other role she takes on. She’s the end goal, the heart of it all. God, I love this mother!

In a deeply emotional moment, IVE sent a memorial wreath to the wake of Kim Ha-neul, the 8-year-old victim of the recent Daejeon school UNALIVING tragedy. 💔

Ha-neul’s father shared how his daughter’s world revolved around Jang Wonyoung, never missing a single appearance from her favorite idol. She cherished every Wonyoung-related item and always chose to watch her over anything else. In his grief, he made a heartfelt plea for Wonyoung to bid his daughter a final farewell.

And IVE listened. 💐 A wreath from the group was placed near Ha-neul’s memorial picture, alongside a cherished Wonyoung photocard among her remembrance items.




After learning about this heartbreaking incident, I felt that making a video with cheerful, upbeat content would be insensitive and disrespectful to the victim. Instead, I chose to share this post to inform and honor Ha-neul’s memory. I hope everyone understands and joins in offering their condolences. May she rest in peace. 🕊️💜

Rosé is an artist whose concert I truly dream of attending. Should I call her "Rosie"? After all, I know every single lyric from her album by heart. Even though I’ve watched all her live performances on Twitter, I still find myself rewatching them on YouTube because I simply can’t get enough of her. 😭 My admiration for Rosé grows with each passing day. Can you believe I got teary-eyed during *"Stay a Little Longer"*? (Yes, even through a screen—her music hits me so deeply. 🥲) And mind you, I don’t even have an ex to relate to the lyrics, lol.
