Sonet gets both Diesel AT and Petrol DCT variants under 10 lakh which is a first in the segment!
The feature distribution in variants is already nice apart from rear wiper.
Have you noticed more lower variants with automatic in multiple cars these days?
Our market is maturing similar to most tier 1 countries where Automatics are standard from base variants.
More competition, more choice, a win win for us π«Άπ»

Updates on cars and my takes on them-
Verna facelift
π The GOOD- Hyundai solved a big issue with Verna acc to me which was that weird steering and instrument cluster design. Looks upmarket now!
π You get a 7th airbag between front 2 seats so that driver and co-driver don't collide in a side impact
π Top end features like 360 degree cam with blind view monitor, Projector headlights, 8 way power adjustable seats along with memory etc available now
πPersonal fav- 160bhp manual option available
π THE MISSES- Prices aren't impressive especially automatic variant starts from high variant HX6.
π Badly needs i20 like Nline with stiffened springs and steering rack, opportunity lost.
Renault Bridger
π New sub4m based on R-GMP platform like Duster
π 200mm GC, 400L boot
π Will be loaded with features, a proper luxurious Renault
π Actually a Bridge between Duster and Kiger. Will be available in 2027
Which one of these excite you more? Any other topics on which you want to see a video? Let me know in the comments

E Vitara Launched at 16 lakhs without BaaS and 11 lakhs with 4rs/km BaaS!
It is 2 lakhs less than Creta Electric with more battery capacity and a safer platform, 2000 fast chargers at dealerships, free home installation and some more things like buyback facility etc!
Even if the product isn't very powerful, the boot is small, headroom is less, doesnβt feel as refined in ride/handling balance but it is priced less than Strong Hybrid and should be reliable in the long term.
If you see the price, Only Windsor Pro is the strong contender but some people don't seem to like the looks of that car.
Our home grown EVs and Vinfast are great vfm but have π€« weird reliability reputation looking at the harship videos almost daily.
Compared to them, it Looks like a simple, no nonsense product with decent pricing. Will you opt for bigger, more vfm looking products or slightly fuss free, reliable one with good charging network?
What's your take?

10k km service done and 3050rs is the final bill! Key service takeaways -
βπΌ They made the estimate around 8000rs which included interior cleaning, engine protect, rat spray and some coating as well but after removal of those, came down to 3k! Always stick to manufacturer recommendation available in car Manual and cost calculator websites. π
βπΌ Mahindra uses fully synthetic oil and change interval is 10k kms which is less than 15k kms of Tata and VW/Skoda. In Indian conditions, 10k kms is actually great for synthetic oil, 15k kms is overkill and will do harm in the long run for sure so try to change synthetic oil at 10k and semi synthetic at 7500kms
βπΌThe service experience part was ok as Cant see any checklist with the mechanic but washing and cleaning was incredible!
βπΌMost fun part was they actually sprayed rat spray and engine bay coating anyways after the wash so they tried to make money from the things which they have to do as regular process. π€£
βπΌ Overall experience and cost of service is decent as service charge was 0 this time. Will update every service like this in future posts and videos as well.
Let me know if you have any questions which was included in my previous videos. Will include everything in further videos

Seltos 1.5NA IVT Fuel efficiency Numbers by Autocar India are out and it is surprisingly similar to earlier 2020 Creta (not heavier 2024 Facelift) tested by them, even with maybe higher weight/size of the car!
The city efficiency numbers are actually better than Elevate (source given) and Kushaq Automatics also so looks like this powertrain is nicely tuned somehow. Comparing as all the data is from the same source
Note- Add 2kmpl more in highway numbers if you're cruising calmly on proper open expressways as Autocar test these cars on state highways!
Video On The best turbo Petrols is coming very soon π₯³

I think Magna was second from base variant and it had rear defogger wiper back then. Most cars don't offer it in the middle to second top variant now! π€·π»ββοΈ
The first step of safety is situational awareness which means there should be no blind spots around your car! Hatch/crossover shape attracts more dust/mud on rear windshield!
So
ππ»All the mirrors should be adjusted to driver's vision
ππ»windows clean enough to see all 4 sides especially rear
ππ» Never block your rear visibility by putting stuff upto roof
ππ» Know your surroundings first, before taking turn or switching lanes.
Bigger the car, bigger the weapon you have for small cars, pedestrians and bikers so obviously bigger the responsibility!
