🎬 CASTING CALL: VLYT ART SCENE STUDY 2026

Vlyt Art Acting is launching the first-ever South African Scene Study Project — an international acting and performance initiative exploring the earliest South African plays ever written.

We are now casting for actors and performers (local and international) to take part in this historic pilot project.

🎭 PROJECT TITLE: Vlyt Art Scene Study — Cape Satire 1830–1850
📜 Playwright: Charles Étienne Boniface (South Africa’s first satirical playwright)
🎬 Format: In-person & Online Scene Study (Film / Stage / Demo Reel Adaptations)
🌍 Open to: South African and International actors
🕰 Period: 1830s Cape Colony
📍 Location: Pretoria / Online

Roles include:
• 5 Monologues
• 5 Dialogues
• 1 Animation Scene
• 1 Ensemble Scene

Some of these plays were written as early as 1825 and have never been performed on stage or camera before. This is your chance to bring to life the oldest characters in South African theatre — in English adaptation and performance.

💡 The Vlyt Art Scene Study is a hybrid acting studio where we reinterpret historical South African texts for film, television, and stage performance.
