I had a message today about how to connect the GPS to the new TBS AIO flight controller. If you follow the pads on the GPS and the pin-outs on the manual for the flight controller then it isn't too hard to figure out. Below is a diagram of how the production wiring loom would work with the TBS M10 GPS unit. Happy flying!

Quick note for those who've contacted me with issues with loss of HD FPV video on launch with the new TBS Chupito.
This appears to be due to voltage sag when launching. One of my Patreons has been playing with this and you can drop the max throttle for launch to 1750-1800 and it'll still launch easily on 6S but the voltage sag shouldn't be enough to restart your HD FPV kit!
Thanks to Patreon Richard for testing this with his... Happy flying!

Can you help? I've got this Goosky S1 Legend in to look at (it's the latest version that has the ability to be used with ExpressLRS!), but can't find any documentation that covers how to setup the radio and configure it for that.
Non of the videos I've watched address a number of key issues using ELRS.... CH5 is needed for ARMING ExpressLRS meaning that using that for a control for the Heli is a bad idea as in the LOW position ELRS is 'sleeping' and range and link performance is affected.
Plus, ELRS only sends the first 4 channels as 'full resolution' by default so using CH6 for pitch means that the pitch doesn't move smoothly but will 'jump' from value to value as the throttle moves - far from ideal.
Do you know where I can get the detail I need to setup ELRS well with this model? I've emailed Goosky as well...
(Goosky really need to work harder on their manuals for this stuff!)

And finally, for all of you who answered 'DJI' for the last poll - what DJI generation are you mainly flying?

A huge thank you to all who answered the question on what type of FPV you are using!

Despite recent price drops for things like HD Goggles, price continues to be one of the main issues stopping many from making the move to HD systems.

So, it set me wondering again. What is the spilt between DJI HD FPV, Walksnail, and HDZero for those flying HD?

I've had a few ask about the newly released TBS Chupito, and if I was getting one. The exciting news is that one is on the way! This is a much smaller sister to the Mojito and can be launched easily one-handed. Let me know what you want me to show in the unboxing, setup and flying videos... stay tuned!

For the last three years, I've been asking what type of FPV you were using at this point in the year.

It provides a really useful indicator on how many pilots are still analogue only and how the HD FPV products are becoming a wider part of the hobby. Now, after another year of and even more digital HD FPV offerings, it will be interesting to see how the split has changed again.

So, what FPV type are you flying now?

Another in the 'pro tips' series: When you figure out the battery you need in your fixed wing model, write it in the battery bay and mark the edge so you get it perfect every time for CG!
