Douglas Fir separate aux wiring! In case anyone was wondering how I made the custom things that use a similar board. This basically gives you the ability to add a separate speaker input to the board, and the board does the rest (Eye and mouth movement)
Most recent project, vid coming as soon as I get the electronics figured out!
I picked up this chest at the thrift store for cheap, mainly due to it being broken in a few spots and it was pretty dirty. I ended up deciding to make it into a Halloween treasure chest. Soon it will open and close with an audio track playing, as well as having an internal fog machine to make it smoke when it opens!
Anyone have experience with Chain Fong musical pianos? I finally got one that plays 6 "Classic" songs, but if it's glitched (tapping the battery to cut power temporarily) it'll play 3 Easter songs, and also 12 Christmas songs (Like the Christmas version.) But once it's reset it'll go back to it's normal activation (6 songs.) Wonder if there's something on the board that can be rewired to make it play the other songs? I looked at the circuit and saw some unused pins, also my grandma has the Christmas version which I'm pretty sure has the same unused pins. I touched them against each other, touched the ground wire to them and nothing happened. I may look at the circuit on hers and see if it has something differently wired than mine.
I met my hero, SpongeBob, aka Tom Kenny! He also got a kick out of me bringing a Billy Bass for him to sign at Comic Con! He's everything I thought he'd be!
A custom project I've finally finished! I took one of those "Waving Flag" props, and basically redid the entire thing. It's on a much larger pole, has a bigger speaker and base, a different mechanism and still plays the original songs, with a much more animated movement. ( I adjusted the plastic things inside the flag so that it moves more.)
