SERAPHIM OF HARMONY OC DESIGN 😇🪽

I choose a Seraphim for my Heavenly Hellaverse OC because of the elegance and beauty they have that I adore! I know what you’re thinking “Milkyy why not be the Seraphim of Melodies?!” well I gave this a lot of thought but melodies is a music term that doesn’t simultaneously hold a physical function, whilst harmony does. You see, due to the structure in Heaven and the roles that each Seraphim holds, I chose a music term that could also act as my job! In order to bring harmony to Heaven’s citizens my role involves making sure no disputes happen between ascended human souls and finding ways to resolve any individual matters that do occur. This of course fits perfectly with Emily’s role as the bringer of joy so I often work with Emily on strategies to keep souls happy and free from arguments or discourse.

My whole design is heavily based on my original human OC with a color scheme of gold, cream, brown and pink tones, since these colors already make sense in a heavenly context. My earrings are a dangling duplicated version of my original hoop earrings, my wings are based on the color of my dress with the detail of flicking outwards for a unique shape and my hair consists of lighter tones of pink to compliment my angelic look. I decided on a golden treble clef music-based necklace to fill my neck area since my dress is an off-the-shoulder style which leaves a lot of room there. Melle added a matching treble clef brooch to my hip which sort of holds together the falling layers of my dress. To complement the gold details on my dress I decided on yellow nails, golden eyes, a yellow nose detail, some subtle yellow blush and golden freckles inspired by Mel from Arcane which felt like the perfect angelic touch to my face 💛

I really wanted a sun halo crown structure with rays of light bursting outwards as it felt the most fitting for my light/golden color scheme. I actually decided on this design concept long before the release of the Speaker of God so when season 2 of Hazbin Hotel came out it was really cool to see I had chosen a similar halo to her ☀️

For the finishing touches, Melle gave my hair, dress, shoes and wings fluffy cloud-based edges for an ethereal look with the addition of gold cuff bracelets to hold the puffy translucent parts of my sleeves ☁️

I really wanted a harp as my angelic instrument because of my role as the Seraphim of Harmony. I thought that some glowing white strings would work really well to give my harp a powerful and activated look. Melle used the same colors in my seraphim color scheme for the harp and added some cute little wings to complete my instrument!
