Proud to announce I’ve been made a sports and business law partner… a decade after nearly facing homelessness.

A lot of people probably don’t know about my journey and why Pythagoras In Boots is more than a fun hobby for me - it played a crucial role, along with the woman who would be my wife in keeping me mentally stable during the toughest years of my life.

I don’t want to get too into it but without a healthy family environment it can be very easy to be dragged down and lose your sense of purpose, quite frankly I did and didn’t know what to do.

Coaching, law everything was collapsing around me as I didn’t have a stable life at home - it’s why parenting is so important to me now - I want to give my kids what I never had.

Bit by bit, writing articles and talking about football, kept my mind occupied and got me through it - managed to get a training contract which allowed me to get an apartment and then I tried to not look back.

There’s been many ups and downs, balancing work with my passion, whilst also wanting the family life I never had in a vicious corporate environment with people who can’t relate to humble upbringings is never easy but anyway it was ultimately worth it.

I’m now in a position where I can work when I want for who I want, financially it’s probably not as stable as a salaried position but mentally I feel better and it gives me more flexibility to get back into coaching for example and grow the football agency and media career.

Anyway long story but I hope that gives an insight as to my journey but also serves as inspiration that you have to find a way to fight despite your current circumstances, hang onto something you love - let it give you purpose and a reason to live and better your situation. Don’t let other people’s shit define your life.

Really proud of my girls today. ❤️⚽️

As their coach, today was a particularly special one - for the first time, both my daughters played together in the same team.

And what a tournament to do it in.

We finished runners-up in a boys’ tournament featuring some of the strongest sides in Solihull, going unbeaten throughout.

The context makes it even more impressive. The team we faced in the final came into it with a +14 goal difference… we were the next best team in the tournament on +3.

They were simply too strong for us in the final, but to take a girls’ team into a tournament like this, compete against some of the best boys’ sides and come away unbeaten until the final is something I’m incredibly proud of.

Proud coach. Proud dad. 🥈❤️

Proud to announce I’ll be stepping back into coaching this season - taking over both my daughters teams, U7s and U9s.

Yesterday the U9s won a regional tournament, daughter scoring what we thought was a last minute winner in the final only for a rapid equaliser - fortunately held our nerves on penalties.

Very talented group of girls, 3 already picked up by Villa, Leicester and Blues. Excited to watch their growth and journeys first hand… potentially some future lionesses!
