☄️NEW REVIEW 🥃 Meikle Toir “The Sherry One” (5yo, peated Speyside matured in PX and Oloroso casks)

This one surprised me…
• 5 years old but very “complete” (especially mid bottle)
• Big BBQ smoke + sweet ham + raspberry balsamic notes
• 48% ABV & unchillfiltered = seriously mouth-coating
•no added colour

I even said I prefer it to Ardbeg 5 and 10👀 (all things considered)

👉 What do you think:
Q: Is non-Islay peat starting to rival Islay?

Q: Are Boutique/indie distillers way better at making eye poppingly great whisky?

Q: And how do you feel about young (5yo) peated whisky — underrated or too raw?
