On the 27th National Environment Day, President HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan announced that the nation is extending the ‘Year of Sustainability’ into 2024 to increase its contribution to confronting global climate challenges and protecting the planet. Following the footsteps of the Founding Father late HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan for environmental sustainability, the country has set the goal to achieve Net Zero by 2050 launched in the ‪@COP28UAEOfficial‬ . National Environment Day activities will continue through to World Environment Day on 5th June under the leadership of HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court along with HH Sheikha Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the Education and Human Resources Council and Chair of the COP28 Executive Hosting Committee.
