Paryushan as a teenager, felt like punishment — I would pout, sulk, even cry because my mom made me follow it. Back then, I couldn’t understand why it mattered so much.
Somewhere along the way (don’t know when exactly), that changed. Now, as an adult, these 8 days feel like the peace I crave all year long. Turns out, my mom was right after all!
Taking a moment to thank my God for the beautiful life I live today. While I may not be perfect at following everything properly, I’m trying my best.
