The Embassy of India in Bangkok has issued an emergency contact number for nationals in Thailand after a powerful earthquake centered in Myanmar that jolted neighbouring Thailand.
According to the embassy, no untoward incidents involving Indian citizens have been reported so far. The embassy is in close coordination with Thai authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of Indian nationals in Thailand.
NOTE:- The emergency helpline, +66 618819218, can be used by INDIAN NATIONALS in case of EMERGENCY.

UAE Expands Visa-On-Arrival Option for Indians, Offers New 60-Day Stay.
Indian nationals who hold valid tourist visas for the United Kingdom or European Union countries can now enjoy the privilege of visa-on-arrival in the UAE. Earlier, the UAE’s Visa-On-Arrival Option for Indians was only available to those holding tourist or residence visas for the US, or with residency permits from the UK or EU.
In addition to expanding eligibility, the UAE is offering a 60-day visa for Indian nationals who meet the above criteria. This visa is available for a fee of Dh250, providing a longer stay for tourists and business travellers.
The ICP has also revised the fee structure for Indian travellers:-
14-day entry visa: Dh100 for Indian nationals and their family members who hold valid visas, residencies, or green cards from the US, UK, or EU.
14-day visa extension: Dh250.
60-day visa: Dh250.

Kenya to become visa-free from January 2024!
In a latest development, visitors from across the world will no longer require a visa to visit Kenya. This initiative will come into effect from January 2024.
In a significant move to boost tourism and foster global connections, Kenyan President William Ruto announced on December 12 that visitors from around the world will no longer need a visa to enter the country starting January.
NOTE:- To enter KENYA you must fill out an eTA form.

The Cabinet of Iran has decided to waive the visa requirements for travellers from 33 countries, including India, IRNA reported. Iranian minister of cultural heritage, tourism, and handicrafts Ezzatollah Zarghami said the move is aimed at boosting tourism and attracting more visitors from countries around the world.

Malaysia scraps visa requirements for Indian tourists.
After Thailand and Sri Lanka, now MALAYSIA has declared that they will scrap entry visa requirements for citizens of India visiting the nation beginning 1 DECEMBER, according to Prime Minister ANWAR IBRAHIM.
The move comes as the nation looks to boost its tourism industry and Indians and Chinese form the largest chunk of tourists all over the world.
INDIAN NATIONALS MAY STAY FOR UP TO 30 DAYS VISA-FREE IN MALAYSIA, Anwar said in a speech at his People’s Justice Party’s annual congress in Putrajaya on Sunday. This would be subject to security screening, he added.
Malaysia is counting on extra tourist arrivals and their spending to support economic growth. Anwar last month announced plans to improve visa facilities next year to encourage the entry of tourists and investors, “especially from India and China."

With peak tourism season almost here, Thailand tourism has good news for Indian tourists.
The Thailand government has decided to waive visa requirements for arrivals from India and Taiwan from next month to May 2024, a government official said on October 31, in a bid to draw in more tourists as the high season approaches.

The Sri Lankan cabinet has approved the policy to issue FREE TOURIST VISAS to travellers from INDIA and six other countries, Foreign Minister Ali Sabry said on Tuesday, amidst efforts to rebuild the debt-trapped island nation's tourism sector.
Foreign Minister Sabry in a statement said that this would be carried out as a pilot project effective until MARCH 31, 2024.
The Cabinet approved free entry for travellers from INDIA, China, Russia, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia, and Thailand with immediate effect.

🇫🇮 FINLAND Becomes the First World Country to Test Digital Travel Documents!🇫🇮
The Finnish Border Guard has announced that Finns will be the first in the world to test digital travel documents starting from August 28, 2023.
“The Finnish Border Guard invites passengers on Finnair’s Great Britain flights to test their digital travel document at the border check at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport starting on August 28, 2023. Finnair customers on the London, Manchester and Edinburgh routes have the opportunity to go through the border control faster and more smoothly than usual without queuing,” the statement of the Finnish Border Guard reads.
The digital travel document, known as DTC (Digital Travel Credentials), is being tested for the first time in the world, as the Border Guard explains. DTC is a digital version of the physical passport, and it is just as reliable as the latter.
If this project carried out by Finland proves to be successful, passengers will no longer have to carry physical travel documents in the future. At the same time, other travel processes will become much simpler, too.
I hope that in future our government will be able to implement DTC in INDIA🇮🇳 as well.

"VIETNAM APPROVES EXTENDING E-VISAS TO 90 DAYS"😊
From 15th August 2023, e-visas duration will be increased from 30 days to 90 days, valid for multiple entry to meet the demands of international tourists. This is a new policy approved by the National Assembly of Vietnam to facilitate international visitors to Vietnam.
Thereby, upon being granted an e-visa, a foreigner can enter and exit an unlimited number of times within 90 days, without having to go through procedures for obtaining a new visa.
SINGLE ENTRY FEE - $25
MULTIPLE ENTRY FEE - $50
Another good news! Citizens of countries that are unilaterally exempted from visas by Vietnam will be granted temporary residence for 45 days (up from 15 days) and can be considered for visa issuance and temporary residence extension according to regulations.
Now pack your luggage, come and live fully in Vietnam!😊😊😊
