Here is my response to all the negativity in the comments under my recent videos from Ghana.

This channel has always been about the places that interest me and the topics I find important to share in the countries I visit. So you can comment as much as you want that I “focus on the bad sides of the country,” or “only show poverty,” or that “I’m trying to bring down African countries.”

First, I decide what topics I want to cover on my journeys. Second, I am not paid by any government to praise politicians or to show only a few developed neighborhoods where the rich live. Third, you do not have to watch my content if you do not find it interesting—there are many other channels that can give you a one-sided story. Fourth, there is no need to compare me with others who do scripted three-hour streams surrounded by celebrities.

I pay for my travels. I apply for your country’s visa. I self-fund my trips from A to Z, take all the risks, hire guides when needed, and along the way I try to support the hard‑working people of the country with what little I can. What you see on my channel is raw experience with no cut corners, sharing both the positive and negative moments I go through.

If I don’t like the trash on the beach, I will say it and show it. You can’t blame me for your government’s or your community’s inability to keep the places they live in clean. You can’t say I picked the “wrong” beach—why shouldn’t every beach be clean, whether it’s private, public, or in a slum area? Likewise, if I’m harassed for money, I’ll share it; if I’m treated kindly, I’ll share that too and give more back. I’m not cherry‑picking my experiences to please an audience. Again, nobody is forcing you to be part of the journey or to watch my videos. I will keep showing both sides of the countries I visit, and the people who find that interesting will stay and appreciate the journey through Africa.

I love the people of Ghana and have always said they are some of the kindest people I’ve met in my travels, with big smiles and a willingness to help no matter the situation. I’ve done my best to show kindness and support in return to the people who treated me well whenever I had the opportunity.

Thank you to everyone who has tuned in and supported my travels by watching the content I share.

Peace and love!

Uganda Safari Expedition June, 2026 - 1 Spot Left 🦍

Uganda has been one of my favorite countries to travel in East Africa. From the kindness and hospitality of the people to the breathtaking nature and diversity of the animals, it was what made me decide to return with the expedition to explore the country more deeply, from culture to nature. 🇺🇬

This June, I am leading the Uganda Safari Expedition, focused on the country's natural beauty and on seeing mountain gorillas up close, which live only in 3 African countries in the wild. 🦍

Not only the gorillas, but also track rhinos at Ziwa Sanctuary, cruise the Nile beneath the thunder of Murchison Falls, and explore the lush rainforests of Kibale in search of playful chimpanzees. Witness the savannah come alive on game drives in Queen Elizabeth National Park and glide along the Kazinga Channel, home to an extraordinary concentration of hippos and elephants. 🐘

If you have ever dreamed of exploring Uganda with a group of like-minded people, you are more than welcome to join us on the Uganda Expedition. Uganda is home to some of the kindest people in the region. Check out my website under the comments section to learn about the itinerary, dates, price, and application instructions as I conduct the selection process.

We have 1 spot left. 🙏🏽

If you've followed me for a while, you know how much I dislike being guided or having someone with me during my travels. For me, ultimate freedom and enjoyment are the human connections, even if we have a language barrier, and that is the beauty of exploration.

But in certain situations, it makes sense to have a guide who can help you with local languages, safety, or customs. So these are the times I decide to have someone by my side to make sure we see the full picture of the country.

You also have to know that my travels are very time-sensitive; plans are back-to-back, and when I hire a company or a guide, I do not have the luxury of assisting anyone; I trust in their work and skills and hope for the best. That being said, it's pure luck that you might hit the jackpot or miss the opportunity.

What I am trying to say is that I hear you, I see you, I read your comments, and I understand your evaluation through my camera lenses, which even I, in certain live situations, miss acknowledging, and for that I am so grateful to you.

The Benin trip was short, and we have a few more episodes from this country series now fully filmed. After that, we will travel to Togo 🇹🇬 and then to Ghana. 🇬🇭

Thank you so much!

Since my Qatar & Zambia series, something very special started on my channel. Starting from the end of September 2025, which means for the last +100 days, I have posted 1-hour videos every other day and have not skipped a day. And consistency shows itself in the numbers.

Today, we have reached 900,000 subscribers without a single YouTube Short on the channel, and having the audience consistently tuning in, supporting, and experiencing the places exactly the way I love to do is a blessing. The numbers mean nothing, but they sometimes show how far we have come. I say "we" because, without you, none of this would be possible. So I am forever grateful for the support, love, and attention you give to the channel, from experiencing the bad, ugly, scary, frustrating, and risky to the beautiful, exciting, amazing, and fascinating. 🙏🏽

Thank you for everything! If you are curious, we should reach a million subscribers before this summer. ❤️

The Nigeria series is coming to an end as I have posted my final video on my main Youtube channel. 🇳🇬

I cannot say it was an easy country series to film, as Nigeria came with many challenges and difficulties along the way. A few things are clear to me: most of the people I have met have been incredibly friendly, regardless of their circumstances, and curious and hospitable. And I absolutely loved the diversity of ethnicities and languages, how they blend, and how they use English as a common language to run day-to-day things. But one thing is also clear: Nigeria is not ready for tourism.

Not only is the country unprepared, but there is also almost no focus on tourism, on supporting foreign nationals, or on building infrastructure to attract more foreign visitors. Having outrageous visa fees, like paying $270 for an e-visa, is already a big sign of how Nigeria avoids tourism. There are many challenges for foreigners withdrawing money at ATMs, such as a $14 per-transaction limit and the fact that foreign cards are not accepted in many places, except at hotels. At the same time, cash is not being accepted on a few occasions.

I do understand the ₦20,000 ($14) withdrawal limit exists to reduce cash usage, avoid scams, improve security, control inflation, and push Nigeria toward digital banking—but implementation challenges make it difficult for many citizens, as well as for foreigners like me who need to have cash to travel around the country to enjoy things.

Lots of people think I have an agenda in Nigeria to show the country's dark side. It is absolutely not true - I have shared every beauty of the country, its people, culture, modern and developed areas, and also the unacceptable living conditions millions of people live in. Both sides of the country are real, and I tried to cover as much as I could. And the things the comments section told me I "whining about" can be taken into consideration to make it better for other visitors, instead of personally attacking me for the incapabilities of your officials.

Also, about $500 School Donation - I hear you, and I have watched the video again myself, and noticed so many red flags from start to the end. And yes, you are probably right. I have been scammed out of the money, as this will not affect the kids' livelihoods or their education, but will benefit the pockets of a few. But deep down, I still hope that some part of the amount will be supporting kids, as they are so innocent, and they did not choose to be born right in the middle of the sewage system. For me, the most important thing is that our intention was pure, and we did all we could for them; the rest is on their dignity.

Love to Nigeria, and thank you for all the support and attention. ❤️
Next, we are heading to the Republic of Benin 🇧🇯

2025 - Personal Life Update ♥️

October 2025 – I married the love of my life, my soulmate, and my best friend forever. On that day, I couldn't have asked for anything more — it was a dream location, with my dream woman, and all our closest family and friends together.

No matter the distance, time difference, or challenges of life, I have never doubted our relationship. It makes me the happiest and luckiest man to know that I get to spend the rest of my life with the most gorgeous and kindest angel.

Our story began in Istanbul, blossomed in Prague, proved its strength in Samarkand and Baku, and savored its warmth in Bielefeld and Doha. Above all, one thing is clear — every place on this Earth feels like home with her, because she is my home.

I am forever grateful for seeing meaning in everything I do, for supporting all my crazy travel ideas, and for being my wife. And, I am so proud of all you do, of everything you find meaning in, and of everything you will flourish in for yourself and for our family.

I love you so much, Mrs. Akhundzada ✨

After traveling to so many African countries this year, one activity stands out above all others: magical and exhilarating. 🦍

Mountain Gorillas - which only exist in 3 African countries in the wild, and I had the chance to see them up close and look in the eye of the silverback gorilla in Uganda. 🇺🇬

The trek to see them starts really early in the morning in Bwindi National Park. The forest is alive with the sounds of birds, insects, and distant calls. Suddenly, you find yourself face-to-face with a family of gorillas, observing them as they feed, play, or rest peacefully.

The close encounter with the majestic silverback - an adult male gorilla weighing up to 200 kilograms and displaying incredible strength and grace - is nothing short of awe-inspiring. Locking eyes with such a powerful creature in its natural habitat is a magical, humbling moment. The experience is intimate and silent; you’re an observer in their world, feeling both the thrill of the wild and a deep respect for the gorillas’ gentle nature.

In June 2026, I will return to Uganda to explore further and see the majestic mountain gorillas again, and also personally lead a paid expedition to East Africa. If you have ever dreamed of exploring Uganda with a group of like-minded people, you are more than welcome to join us on the Uganda Expedition. Uganda is home to some of the kindest people in the region. 🇺🇬

During Sri Lanka’s most challenging times, there is no one I trust more than the Foundation of Goodness.

The Foundation of Goodness team is already packing and delivering essential relief packs to the most affected areas through their 22 Empowerment Centres across the island. 🇱🇰

They don’t just make promises—they’ve proven themselves time and time again. This time, the team is working day and night to support vulnerable Sri Lankans. If you’d like to help, please check the details in the post and be careful: do not trust bank account numbers you see online, since some people may use the crisis for their own gain.

For more donation options, please see the link in the comments section for FOG's website.

Please feel free to share this post to reach more people.
Thank you so much to the Foundation of Goodness!

The past few days have been heart-wrenching as I’ve watched videos and photos from my beloved country, feeling pain for the kindest island people...

Each time the people of Sri Lanka begin to rise above the challenges they face, another hardship arises. Not long ago, we celebrated record-breaking tourism and the recovery from devastating economic and political crises—yet here we are again, now facing another test of patience and resilience from nature itself.

My thoughts, prayers, and love are with everyone affected by this disaster. Sadly, it’s not over, and the road to recovery will take time. I wish my fellow islanders patience and greater strength. Deep down, I believe that my favorite island will rise once more.

Let us also hold in our hearts our sisters and brothers in Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Only 2,100 USD away from 100,000 USD total donations to Sri Lanka in the last four projects in the last 3 years. 🇱🇰

Here is the list of projects we have done together, using my social media platforms to raise funds for various purposes to support underprivileged communities in Sri Lanka:

$25,200 - Feed The Hungry (2022)
$27,000 - Building Village Education Center (2023)
$29,900 - 22 Toilets For Special Children (2024)
$15,800 - Education For 400 Village Students (2025, ongoing)

That also means our current project is short an additional 2,100 USD to reach our 3-year goal of 100,000 USD.

I am very grateful to everyone who shared the initiatives and decided to be donors to the projects! This would not be possible without you for Sri Lanka ❤️🇱🇰

I've included the current GoFundMe project link in the comments below, which supports the education of students in remote areas of Sri Lanka.

Thank you for being part of the community and supporting a rural empowerment project in Sri Lanka! 🇱🇰❤️
