Did you know in Botswana;
-The Makgadikgadi Pans cover about 16,000 square km making them one of the largest salt flats in the world.
-The pans are all that remain of the superlake Lake Makgadikgadi, which dried up thousands of years ago.
-The salt crust on the pans is so thick that vehicles can drive across it when dry.
-The pans are surrounded by grasslands and salt marshes that fill with water during the rainy season, attracting flamingos and other wildlife.
-Parts of the pans are transformed into lush grassland during the short rainy season from December to March.
-The pans have been inhabited by humans for tens of thousands of years, with ancient stone tools found dating back over 200,000 years.
-Bushmen engravings can be found on remote rocky outcrops of the pans depicting wildlife from when more water was present.

During the day as we work Ajanie and I have going a live webcam from the Kenyan wild.
Last night (Kenyan time) we got to see these two Majestic male Lions come to drink water.
On a clear sky day we get to see Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance.

The day started out rain pouring down in bucket loads. Then the late afternoon turned out to be incredibly amazing with the most amazing views to take in.
For anyone heading to the west coast of Australia put Port Lincoln and Whalers Way in your must see list of places. You will not regret it.

Our recent visit to the Drakensberg in South Africa is coming out tomorrow.
This is an incredibly scenic part of the country with the Drakensberg mountain range spanning a distance of 1000km from east to west.
