People on social media keep going on and on about Sydney Sweeney.

I find celebrities extremely boring and generally have no interest in them whatsoever. I feel like I'm missing something. Why is everyone going on about this woman?

I watched a video from The Critical Drinker and thought "meh." Apparently other women on social media don't like Sweeney because she is young, attractive and not woke?

I think people are giving her way too much attention for no reason.

I am extremely indifferent to her and have never watched her in an interview. I enjoyed her in "The Housemaid". It was a good movie that I did a critical analysis of.

If this is all about her beauty, I must say, from my perspective (as a heterosexual female), I don't think Sweeney is anything special lookswise. She is attractive but quite generic. She reminds me of a (young) Britney Spears.

She is nowhere near even close to the same level of beauty as Marilyn Monroe, Rita Hayworth, Aishwarya Rai, Alicia Keys or Beyoncé. These women were breathtaking. Sweeney is just...regular pretty? Like Emma Watson. I said similar things about Lupita Nyong'o a short while back.

This is just my opinion. I am obviously not attracted to women, so look at women differently from those who are attracted to women. I'm just giving an observation.

Our cultural obsession and fascination with female beauty is quite interesting. It appears to be something both sexes endlessly debate.

However difficult life may seem today, it will not always be like this.

I am immensely proud of what I have built over the past year.

Two years ago I was in sectioned and in hospital.

One year ago I was suicidal and drinking daily.

Now I run a great YouTube channel and Substack. Have had many excellent guests on my podcast. I'm recording my second EP, and a third of the way through the second draft of my novel.

I am seven months sober. Totally clean. I also recently stopped eating cake and chocolate as part of my plan to lose weight.

Life can improve, a day at a time.

Damn right.

I have been through hell multiple times in my life. So have many people. Others have inspired me to keep going. I hope to do the same.

If you're not okay, remember that everyday is a chance to start again. If you are breathing you have a chance to change things.

Where there is help, there is hope.

I get many comments on my content, many of which are positive. I have no issue with people respectfully disagreeing with me. However, I do (and will continue to) remove comments that I find unhelpful and are just written in poor taste. If you are going to be critical at least be constructive. If your comment is just of you insulting me or telling me for the 1200th time that I "don't understand feminism and need to do my research" it will be removed.

I'm slightly concerned by this. I have heard some who are critical of feminism question whether or not women should vote. To be honest I haven't heard anyone from the UK or Europe say this, mainly Americans.

From my perspective, there is no rational reason to disallow any adult from voting in any democratic nation. Excluding women from voting or saying it would be "okay" if women couldn't vote is extremely anti-democratic.

For the last two thousand years, the West (specifically) has mostly been feudal and nobody could vote for much of this time period. Even when democracy was granted, it was reserved for the wealthier classes. Feminists want us to pretend men could all vote while women couldn't when this isn't even true. Most men couldn't vote up until the early 20th century. A lot of women also campaigned against other women voting because they didn't think women should be involved in politics.

I'm so tired of all this gender war BS. Whatever happened to common sense? It's 2026, everyone should vote on the grounds of democracy. We need more pragmatism. We don't need feminism or anachronistic attitudes to how people should behave in the present day.
