The studio upgrade is officially complete! To celebrate the jump to 4K Cinematic, I’m testing it on the brand new Etrange Overlord demo. Yeah the full game is out buuuuuut I didn't get to try this before my old setup failed me. 😂

As a huge fan of NIS games, I had to see how this musical odyssey through hell looks with the new Sony FX30 setup. The cam and mic is a total level up for the channel. 📈

I wanted to jump on here and give a massive shoutout to all 2,100+ of you for sticking with me. While I’m currently grinding through these long work shifts, I’m staring at these boxes and counting down the days until I can finally set everything up!

I’m moving on from the Canon M50 and the Sennheiser mics to some absolute beast mode gear:

Sony FX30 Cinema Line: This is a game changer. No more 30 minute recording limits interrupting me causing me to stop and restart recordings, making multiple files, and having me to resync multiple times for one video which saves me a lot of time and no more blurry zooms either. This thing is built for long haul marathons! 📸🔥

Sony ECM-B1M Digital Mic: Say goodbye to that "nasally" sound and the audio cutting out completely without notice that wasted me hours of time. This mic is purely digital, no cables, no batteries, just crystal clear sound. Plus it records multiple audio tracks, if one sounds bad I have a backup. 🎤✨

Sony TOUGH 320GB CFexpress Card: This card is 7x faster than what I was using before. It’s basically indestructible and can handle hours of high quality footage without breaking a sweat. No more needing to move files to make space after a few hours of recording either. 💾💪

It’s a huge upgrade from my previous setup, and I can't wait to show you guys the difference in quality. Thank you for your incredible patience while I balance the work grind and this transition. The "ghost light" days are numbered and we’re leveling up for real! Sorry for lack of uploads as I had recordings to edit and upload, buuuuut my previous mic crapped out and didn't capture any of my audio. Hence no uploads and the need for this upgrade. It's miles ahead of the tech that I had and overkill for what I use it for currently. 😆

Revisiting some RE9 clips while the new setup gets ready! 🧟‍♂️🔥

I just dropped a new Short from some previous Resident Evil gameplay, watching these back is making me so hyped to dive back in and finish it. Dealing with those technical glitches during the last sessions was a struggle, but it's going to be a completely different game once the new gear is officially live!

The Countdown is On: I’m still pushing through these long work days, but I’m already counting down until next Friday when I can finally get in front of the new camera and mic. No more audio cutting out and no more 30 minute limits, just pure, high quality Resident Evil chaos plus much much more.

I finally got all the pieces of the new gear, and I’m beyond excited to see the difference. The best part? No more "30-minute timers" causing multiple files and syncing each one for one gameplay and no more "ghost lights" dimming my gameplay randomly each episode haha. 👻 And surely no recording for hours on my days off without knowing if its capturing my audio or not lol. This setup is going to make the recording life 10x smoother!

The Plan: I’m currently mid grind on some long shifts at work, so I haven't had the chance to fully "play" with the new equipment yet.

Mario Maker: I’ve got your level codes written down for another chaotic episode! 🍄

Resident Evil: The marathon continues as soon as I’m back in the chair. 🧟‍♂️

Layers of Fear: The madness continues into the DLC and Layers of Fear 2.

Retro Revisits, randomness, and new ideas cooking while I'm not recording. 🔥

Test Video: I'll be doing a quality test with the new Sony setup soon to make sure the "tech gremlins" are officially gone for good! Probably check out a Demo or a new game.

I’m dropping some Shorts for you guys over the next few days to keep the hype up while I finish out this work stretch. I learned my lesson from disappearing once before, I’m sticking around this time and keeping you all updated!

Hey LeeWeeGee gang! While we wait for the new setup to arrive, I wanted to give you a peek at the "old guard" that’s been fighting me behind the scenes. 📸🎮

The Camera: I started with this Canon M50 because a YouTuber swore it was the ultimate budget choice. Turns out, it caps out at 30 minutes, has tiny storage imo, and worst of all the "pro" settings I was told to use made my old videos look blurry and laggy (go check the first Monkey Ball video zoom-in for the proof! 😅). Restarting every 28 minutes just to make more files to resync? Total hassle for long episodes.

The Mic: My Sennheiser MKE 400 had a mind of its own. It would randomly drop my voice mid sentence or make me sound nasally. Recently, it’s been cutting out entirely after 60 seconds with zero warning. Nobody has time to get up mid-boss fight just to check if a green light is still on! Idk why, but when it worked it worked well though, definite upgrade for me at the time over a clip on mic. 🛑🎤

The "Ghost" Light: And of course, the legend itself, my GHOST ring light. Between turning itself on at 3 AM and constantly dimming me mid gameplay, it’s become a total meme. I blame the touch sensitive buttons. 👻💡

The Plan: I’m back on the work grind, so there will be a small delay in full episodes, but I’ve got some Shorts baking in the oven to keep you entertained while the new gear rolls in. Once the new setup is live, I’ll do a proper kind of behind the scenes video so you can know the difference!

Keep in mind I'm not Tech Savvy either so you may not have these issues as this is my own personal experience. These products got me going and YouTubing so I'm grateful for them for sure, just not the YouTuber that told me those awful Camera settings early on lol.

Community Update: The Tech Gremlins Won (For Now...) 🎮⚠️

Hello everyone LeeWeeGee here, I have some news. I spent my days off recording HOURS of footage for our next marathon session. Everything looked perfect, gear was charged, settings were right, and the energy was high.

But when I sat down to move the files to my PC... disaster. The facecam audio plays for exactly 1 minute and then just dies. No warning, no notification, just total silence while the gameplay audio keeps rolling. Why? No idea. I tried to salvage it, but seems the mic and camera didn't cooperate together this time.

Honestly? I’m over it. I’m tired of fighting a camera that only records 30 minutes at a time anyways and a mic that decides to quit for no reason mid session. It’s disheartening to put in the work and have the tech fail you. I can't even see if the audio is working on the camera screen unless I stand up mid recording and cycle through menus.

On top of that goodness while out at the store helping my Mom yesterday, some (explicit language) coughed on me so I woke up today feeling under the weather with a runny nose and watery eyes. Thanks for that random person lol. Real cool. Cover your mouths or stay at home my gosh.

The Good News: The show must go on! 🎭

While I wait for my massive gear upgrades to arrive (goodbye limitations, hello professional quality!), I’m not going completely dark. Here’s the plan:

Shorts and Community posts galore: I’ll be dropping random nonsense and updates using my phone to keep you guys entertained until I know I can trust my setup again.

Marathon Prep: Once the new setup is here (and I’m getting a new ring light that doesn't dim whenever it feels like it!), we are going harder than ever. If you follow me you all KNOW about the ghost ring light. 👻
