Indian Railways में ICF coaches उन conventional passenger coaches को कहा जाता है जो चेन्नई के Integral Coach Factory में बनते हैं।
ICF का फुल फॉर्म है Integral Coach Factory (चेन्नई की कोच फैक्ट्री का नाम)।
ये पुराने डिज़ाइन के बॉडी-चेसिस वाले बॉगी होते हैं, जिनकी maximum design speed आमतौर पर 110–120 km/h के आसपास मानी जाती है।

मुंबई से पुणे ट्रेन मार्ग एक लोकप्रिय और व्यस्त रेल रूट है जो महाराष्ट्र में स्थित है। यह लगभग 170-190 किलोमीटर लंबा है और कई प्रमुख ट्रेनें जैसे डेक्कन एक्सप्रेस, इंद्रायणी एक्सप्रेस और सिंहगढ़ एक्सप्रेस इस पर चलती हैं। यात्रा का समय आमतौर पर 3 से 4 घंटे के बीच होता है।
मुंबई-पुणे रेल मार्ग का निर्माण 1850 के दशक में ब्रिटिश काल में हुआ था। ठाणे से कल्याण तक 1854 में विस्तार हुआ, जबकि खंडाला से पुणे तक मार्च 1858 में पूरा किया गया। यह भारत के शुरुआती रेल प्रोजेक्ट्स में से एक था।
निर्माण का इतिहास
भारत की पहली ट्रेन 1853 में बोरी बंदर (अब CSMT) से ठाणे तक चली। भोर घाट इनक्लाइन पर 4 साल के सर्वे के बाद 1854 से काम शुरू हुआ, जिसमें 25 सुरंगें, 8 पुल और 54 मिलियन क्यूबिक फीट चट्टान काटनी पड़ी। पूरा प्रोजेक्ट 8 साल चला।
निर्माण चुनौतियां
भोर घाट में 25 किमी में 2017 फीट ऊंचाई चढ़ना था, जो ग्रेडिएंट लिमिट से ज्यादा था, इसलिए जिगजैग रूट बनाया गया। मजदूरों को खड़ी चट्टानों पर रस्सी से लटककर ड्रिल करना पड़ता था, जिससे हादसे होते थे।

LHB coaches were first introduced in India in 2000. Imported from Germany, these 24 air-conditioned coaches were initially used on a trial basis in the New Delhi-Lucknow Shatabdi Express. After addressing initial issues like window damage and coupler problems, they proved successful .
The trial deployment faced challenges such as stone-pelting on wide windows, requiring sealing tapes, and ineffective air conditioning initially. Couplers also detached during service, but fixes allowed reintroduction on the same Shatabdi route
The first complete LHB rake, manufactured at Rail Coach Factory (RCF) Kapurthala, entered service on the Mumbai-New Delhi Rajdhani Express in December 2003. Production began in India from 2001-2002 after technology transfer from Alstom-LHB in 1995. This marked the shift from ICF coaches, with LHB offering superior safety, speed up to 160 km/h, and comfort.

Jaipur Junction-Jaipur Junction India ke sabse vyast aur historical stations me se ek hai, jo North Western Railway ka headquarters bhi hai. Station ka architecture traditional Rajasthani style aur modern facilities ka mix hai, isliye rail se city me enter karte hi ek tarah ka “gateway to Pink City” feel aata hai

Station ka nirman 19vi sadi me hua tha aur yeh 1875 se Jaipur ko Delhi, Ajmer aur doosre shehron se jodta aa raha hai.

Yahan se shahi rath se leke freedom movement tak, kaafi historical journeys judi hui hain, hatta ki Mahatma Gandhi ne bhi yahan se safar ke dauran rukavat ki thi.

Indian Railways ab ICF (Integral Coach Factory) coaches ke bajaye mainly LHB (Linke Hofmann Busch) coaches par focus kar raha hai. ICF coaches purane design ke hain aur unki manufacturing ab band ho chuki hai, kyunki LHB coaches zyada safety, comfort, aur high-speed capabilities ke saath naye standards par aate hain.

.ICF Coaches ki SituationPurane coaches:
ICF coaches ab bhi kahi-kahi railways mein dekhne ko milte hain, khaaskar kuch existing wagons mein, lekin naye orders mein ICF coaches nahi ban rahe hain.

Naye coaches: Indian Railways ab LHB coaches par shift kar raha hai, jo zyada modern hain, high-speed train services ke liye suitable hain, aur safety features bhi advanced hain.

Future plans:
Railways ka plan hai ke 2030 tak saare ICF coaches ko replace kar diya jaye aur sirf LHB or modern coaches hi use kiye jayein.
