James BKS productions are an exploration through his musical and personal legacy. Between Europe, Africa and America.
A music that sounds like the meeting point between all the cultures that have nourished it, traditional African rhythms and choirs and avant-garde urban sounds.
Proud ambassador of the latter, James BKS embodies him for all the reasons that have made him the artist he is today, started with the unexpected reunion with his biological father Manu Dibango.
They invite each of us to break free from preconceived codes by combining tradition and modernity, heritage and interbreeding.
A strong message that he is translating for an upcoming album which will be supported around the world as part of an upcoming tour next year.

J’ai écrit Milli Vanity en regardant l’histoire de Fab Morvan des Milli Vanilli.
Je pensais que ça s’arrêterait là.
Puis il y a eu la rencontre. Ce n’était plus une histoire racontée sur lui mais une vérité chantée avec lui.
Voir Fab nommé aux Grammy cette année, après ce qu’on lui a retiré,
c’est la preuve que la rédemption existe.

Je pensais que l’histoire de Milli Vanity s’arrêtait le jour où Fab Morvan a écouté le morceau et m’a donné sa bénédiction.
Puis on s’est assis, on a vraiment parlé, il m’a confié des choses qui ne sont même pas dans le documentaire, et c’est passé d’une simple “inspiration” à une vraie fraternité.
