Quick update, Holmies — no livestream tonight. We are at the hotel and the internet seems like it's been a bit sketchy for carrying on a good, connection with you all. It might be that everyone is watching the Olympic highlights online...

We wanted to let you know that we have arrived safely in the North and the day filled up fast with real-world prep. We picked up the snowmobile and just got it registered, and now we’re racing through the last round of errands before heading out.

We will be leaving here after everything is done and then next stop: the icy road to the island.

This is the start of our winter run — the part we’ve talked about for years but haven’t truly done yet. We’ll bring you along once we’re settled and safe.

Stay tuned… the adventure’s about to get real. ❄️

HELP US NAME OUR BARGE 🚤

Our barge has hauled just about everything — materials, machines, supplies and us — but it still doesn’t have a name. We have Milton, the Sawmill, Alvin the Chipper and of course Pepper our Track Loader... until now, we have hesitated to put a 'name' on our beloved barge because it's a big deal for us and kind of hard to make a final decision...

Sooo we’re turning it over to you.

How to enter:
• Drop one barge name idea per comment
• Browse the comments and 👍 like your favorites. We count likes only.

How it works:
• No Repeats - the first person to think of a name will be the one to claim it
• We only count the 'likes' - so repeat suggestions are not counted
• After a few days, we’ll take the top 5 most-liked names
• Those 5 will go into a final vote to Subscribers only
• The winning name becomes official — painted on the barge and everything
