The Whispering Shadows

In a quiet town nestled between dense woods, there was an abandoned library known as the Hollow Archive. For decades, locals avoided it, claiming the air grew colder near its doors and whispers echoed inside at night.

One stormy evening, a curious teenager named Maya decided to investigate. Armed with a flashlight, she entered the library. Dusty shelves loomed over her, filled with books whose titles had faded away. As she wandered deeper, the whispers began—soft, indistinct voices that seemed to rise from the very walls.

“Is someone there?” Maya called, her voice trembling. No response came, but the whispers grew louder, almost urgent.

She noticed a single book lying on a table, untouched by dust. The cover bore her name. Heart pounding, she opened it and froze. The pages were filled with entries describing her every moment—what she wore, where she went, and even what she was thinking. The final entry read: "She turns the page and looks behind her."

The whispers stopped. A cold breath grazed her neck. Slowly, she turned, but the flashlight flickered and died. In the darkness, a shadow loomed, its eyes glowing faintly.

Maya’s scream was swallowed by the library, and when the townsfolk dared to check the next day, all they found was the book, now with a new entry:
