Fatima Hassan has made history for Lebanon with two gold medals in Muay Thai.

The 27-year-old fighter from Baalbeck won both titles at the 2026 World Championships in Kosovo.

She fell ill during the competition but continued fighting. She knocked out her Vietnamese opponent in the third round and also won gold in a Muay Thai skills event against an athlete from Albania.

Hassan started learning martial arts as a child and took up Muay Thai at 20. Alongside her training, she earned a degree in interior architecture.

Her two gold medals mark a historic moment for Lebanese sport and show what she achieved despite a difficult week.

Two gold medals. One proud moment for Lebanon.
