Born on March 9, 1988, in Newark, New Jersey, to Trinidadian parents, Taran was raised in a devout Hindu household and immersed in Sanathan Dharm culture, shaping his unique musical style.

Taran’s journey began with the release of two hit singles, “Jai Jai Shiva Shambhu” and “Aachanye Baigalamma,” in 2011, marking his debut as a groundbreaking artist in contemporary devotional music. His acclaimed albums, “Shiv-Shakti Sargam: Fusion of Energy” and “Shaktishali Devi: The Powerful Goddess,” have revolutionized Bhajan and Kirtan music, inspiring aspiring artists worldwide.

In 2015, Taran’s performance at the Kali Yatra Festival in Trinidad, featuring the anthem “Munni Munni,” led to his pivotal role in bringing the festival to the USA. As the founder of Kali Yatra Festival USA in 2020, Taran has worked tirelessly to spread Kali Consciousness while creating a platform for young artists to shine.

Taran’s passion for music and devotion to the festival have made him a respected figure in the community. He continues to inspire through his innovative sound, dedication to nurturing talent, and commitment to sharing his spiritual insight.
