Child of Jesus Christ

The Lord tell us:

Matthew 18:3, which says, "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven"

This verse is a call to humility and dependence on God, similar to how a child relies on a parent. When my children were younger i remember if i had said something or do something my children got mad at me but few minutes later they were loving me and they are were so quick to forgive. I remember always asking The Lord to never let my heart become corrupted and to protect my innocence. Till this day my parents say to me that I’m naive and that i should pay more attention. Anyone that knows me, truly knows me knows that i have a heart of a giver and is quick to forgive. In the other hand those that don’t know me only see what is in the outside. But i thank GOD that my heart is like a child and i would never want that to go away.

God wants us to walk in Humility and dependence only in HIM. The verse suggests that one must become humble and dependent on God to enter the kingdom of heaven, as children are dependent on their parents.
You will ask yourself, how can i achieve this❓by surrender and lowering yourself and let Jesus be INCREASED in you. JESUS emphasizes that "whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven". This contrasts with the disciples' question of who was the greatest.
We need Childlike faith, a couple wks ago i sit down with my grandson to meditate on the word of GOD and I ask him “if The Lord tells you to jump in that lake right now full of 🐊 what you will do⁉️ (he is 6yrs old) but his answer amazes me me! He said with out any doubt: “nana, i will run as fast as i can and jump” I said to him, why❓ and he said “The Lord will save me bc he loves me and HE is just testing me like HE did with Abraham”
This is a call for a "childlike faith," characterized by trust and vulnerability, rather than a mature or sophisticated approach to spirituality.
We need the Childish ways to walk in humility before The Lord. It is also important to note the distinction in 1 Corinthians 13:11, which says, "When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things". This verse is about putting aside immature or "childish" ways, not a childlike faith.

Take a moment to reflect and ask The Lord in what areas you are lacking and ask HIM to help you to become like a child that is quick to forgive and love but also is teachable.

The Lord is calling us today to repentance and HE wants to renew our minds.

Prayer:
Father God i come before you in humility, surrendering all my ways to YOU. Giving you all the glory and praise for You are The Author and Lover of my soul. The Higher Power, only You are GOD and GOD alone. I give You The Highest Praise.
Father I thank you for calling me out this morning and highlighting the areas that i need refining. I want to be like a child and become teachable and summit on to Your perfect will for my life that i can become submissive to You. The moment i do this everything will fall into a place according to Your will in my life. Thank You Father for allowing me to come in repentance for my prideful ways, help me to be more like You. Decrease me Lord for You to be Increase. In Jesus Name Amen

Today, I Pray that your life will never go back to the old ways for today is a new day, tap into the grace that is available to You in The Mighty Name of Jesus Christ, I pray that your name be written in The Book of Life🙏

Decree: Thank You, Lord, that my old nature has passed away and I now walk in the newness of life You created in me.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

3. I Am Accepted by God

Decree: Thank You, Lord, that You have fully accepted me in the Beloved and I never have to strive to earn Your love.

“To the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.”

4. I Am a Child of God

Decree: Thank You, Lord, that I am Your child, chosen, known, loved, and adopted into Your family forever.
Scripture — John 1:12
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.”

5. I Am Protected and Kept

Decree: Thank You, Lord, that You surround me, protect me, and keep me as the apple of Your eye.
Scripture — Psalm 17:8
“Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me under the shadow of Your wings.”

6. I Am Strong in the Lord

Decree: Thank You, Lord, that Your strength fills my weakness and Your Spirit empowers me to overcome every battle.

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.”

Decree: Thank You, Lord, that sin no longer has dominion over me because I am under grace and united with Christ.
