I spent about a month traveling through Europe on a musha shugyo (warrior's pilgrimage). I visited six dojos across the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, and Germany. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone at the dojos who warmly welcomed me. It was a truly eye-opening experience to feel how Aikido transcends oceans and connects people around the world. Kashima Shrine, located in Kashima City, Ibaraki Prefecture, is one of the oldest shrines in Japan and enshrines Takemikazuchi-no-Ōkami, the god of martial arts. It has long been revered by warriors and martial artists, and is known for the “Kaname-ishi,” a sacred stone believed to calm earthquakes. It is also one of the “Three Great Shrines of Eastern Japan,” along with Katori Shrine and Ikisu Shrine.

Today was a 合気大祭(Aikitaisai)/Aikido festival at the 岩間(Iwama). Iwama is the place where O-sensei practiced until just before his death.
I will continue to training hard.
