Pouch Heals helps people move from fear and uncertainty into confident, ordinary life after IBD surgery.

I believe that life with IBD, a stoma, or a J-pouch doesn’t have to be about just coping. These journeys affect not only us as individuals but also our families and the people around us. By sharing lived experiences, honest stories, and practical solutions, we can normalise the challenges, support each other as families and as a community, and take real steps toward living fully and thriving together. Pouch Heals

Pouch Heals celebrates it 1 year anniversary this week. A year ago, I set out to transform a lot of emotional energy from my daughters UC diagnosis into something positive. Something that would help others on their IBD journey. Over the year I have tried to share my knowledge and experience of living with UC, Ileostomy, and J-Pouch. I am not a natural at any of this Youtube business, but I have pushed on. From reading many of the comments I can tell people have looked past my awkward on screen presence (sorry!), and connected to the messages I have shared. Thank you to everyone who has watched, liked, commented, and subscribed. I hope it's been helpful. I hope you feel connected with others walking the same journey as you. And I hope you will continue on this journey with me into the next year of Pouch Heals. Thank you. Thank you very much.

Pouch Heals

Hi all. there is a deliberate duplication of the last video released. To help separate it, i have put a different thumbnail on it. This is to allow foreign voice translations to work properly, which for a reason i dont know failed on the first release. If you have watched the first video on Loperamide you dont need to watch this. If you wanted the voice translations, this video should address that. Thanks very much.

Hi all, for the last two weekends we have had a plumber and builder at home sorting out a major leak which has put a delay on video production. Leak now resolved and video production will begin again shortly!

My latest video was a real challenge. A 10 mile walk raising money for charity whilst managing my J-Pouch. This was not only a fitness challenge, but also a mental challenge. See how I got on...

Pouch Heals

This weeks video has a little festive feel to it. It comes out on Monday 15th Dec. In 2026 I would love to do a few more videos really showing the recovered side of life with a J-Pouch, as well as sharing information to support others. This is an example of getting on and enjoying life.

Pouch Heals

I’ve put together a 10-question quick-fire Q&A based on the most common things people ask about ulcerative colitis, stoma life, and living with a J-pouch.

Some from comments from Youtube and some from the Blog at Pouchheals.com.

It’s a simple, honest video with straight answers, and hopefully reassuring if you’re navigating this yourself. Its released on Monday 1st Dec.

If there’s a question you want me to include in Part 2, drop it below.

I’ll pick a few and build them into the next Q&A.

Thanks for being here — I genuinely appreciate the growing little community we’re building.

We are now 25 subscribers strong. Thank you all for joining this growing community. You may have noticed in the last video I have moved out of the conservatory and into an actual home office! I am hoping that will keep me warm through the winter months and give me a space to learn and improve on all things Pouch Heals. Thank you all for supporting.
